You make a good point which I fully acknowledge and understood prior to you making it, but yet you still seem stuck on accusation=charges laid. Please tell me this isn’t the case.
What I said was an accusation can lead to charges being laid.

If a suppression order is in place than they could probably be sued if they break the players name as news.i am surprise if it ends up being a relatively known player as we have so many "newsbreaker" now in the afl media all vying to be the first to break news. still not heard a beep from any of them.
Here’s what you said…What I said was an accusation can lead to charges being laid.
You can be charged with rape if someone accuses you of rape, you are so ignorant it's horrific.
You think everyone charged with a crime is guilty? Are you ok?

No you can not..You can be charged with rape if someone accuses you of rape, you are so ignorant it's horrific.

Police charging someone goes above and beyond an employment contract to kick a football. Think about it; what kind of situation would you find yourself in to be accused of rape? Probably not a very good one. You’ve clearly done something to incite that accusation. That alone is problematic enough.Do you know police charge tonnes of people then drop the charges later, or it turns out they were innocent. How do u not understand this basic point?? Being charged with something doesn’t mean u did anything wrong. This is primary school level ffs
Well according to Australian statistics for 2024, 98% are guilty. You can be charged with rape if someone accuses you of rape, you are so ignorant it's horrific.

Wrong…..What I said was an accusation can lead to charges being laid.
Not sued, but held in contempt of court, which can lead to huge fines and a jail term (Remember, Derryn Hinch went to jail for this). If a suppression order is in place than they could probably be sued if they break the players name as news.
Sighs..
Another season, another heartland scandal.
So this allegedly took place in early 2023?
Stand, stand...
It was a question, not an allegation, hence the question mark. What information are you using to make that allegation? There is no timeline of this case in the OP article.
The 2023 date in the article refers to another case
Well according to Australian statistics for 2024, 98% are guilty.
Those are odds I'm happy to run with
thats not even remotely trueWell according to Australian statistics for 2024, 98% are guilty.

It was reported that he was interviewed as a witness. Perhaps it was another team mate he was being interviewed about.I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the player who was in the papers last Oct for being interviewed by police about an alleged sexual assault.
Privacy and naming suspects has allegedly jeopardised the right of a person to obtain a fair trial or adversely affected the life of the accused. Why cant he be named??
The NRL would stand them down, what happens if the accused is found not guilty.Nah need to stand whoever it is down. Can't have fans cheering on a person with such serious charges playing on the playing field.
Additionally TB still has his Instagram account open and allowing comments (you'd think if this was him the first instruction he'd be given would be to lock down social media).
And, the HS article was updated overnight to mention the player has been charged by Ballarat police. The story last year had TB interviewed by Geelong police. I don't have intricate knowledge of police processes but this could suggest it is a different investigation to the one reported last year.
Tell me more about your legal credentials mate?
Based on the current contracts AFL players sign both the league & the club are within their rights to stand down a player while an investigation is pending of a major issue.
Reflect on what you’re currently saying mate; because it’s deeply concerning that you’re aligning yourself with the interests of the alleged rapist instead of the interests of the victim.
Not sure these "newsbreakers" want to be charged for breaking a suppression order.
just google like I didLink?
just google like I did

Do you perhaps get a bit confused with the severity of being charged with rape? I mean, seriously, what do you actually think you need to have done to have a woman accuse you of that?Did you perhaps get a little confused with people found guilty in court compared to people who are charged by police?![]()
