Barnard crashed into the back of Grant when he knew he was no chance of marking . Essendon know Grant has a spinal problem and this action was reckless and malicious , I saw him do the same thing against Hawthorn . Also the slamming of Birss to the graound on the boundary line by Johnson(i think) he hurt his shoulder the previus week and Essendon attcked him on his weak shoulder , maliciously slung him to the ground and forced him from the field. How long was Lloyd off for ??

Difference ... Lloyd was no where near the ball ...

As i recall ... the ball was 80 metres away!

What a load of sh*t,

I could just imagine an opposition defender muttering....
"Oh.....poor old Granty's got a sore neck...better just let him mark it...after all...wouldn't wanna hurt the poor guy...gee...that was a nice mark Chris".

You cross the line, you're fit. Footy's a contact sport sweetheart, blokes get crunched every week.

Go away idiot.

where's wally?

Does anyone know?

I just received a framed photo set of 6 Bomber players, pretty old photos, not sure if they are footy cards or club merchandise cards.

Anyway the photos are of Keith Forbes, Paddy Walsh, Garnet Campbell, Ted Freyer, Syd Carmen & Howard Okey, I know all except for Campbell were either B&F wiiners or Leading Goalkickers or both in the late 20's & early to mid 30's, Campbell was Captain Coach.

I am trying to work out what the significance is of having these 6 players together, seeing as they played in the 30's, I thought maybe they might have all been killed in the war, anyone know for sure?

Cheers

OOps put this in the wrong place, I meant to start another topic, OH well too busy to change it.

On the original topic, sheesh, so it is OK to attack someones injury when the ball is up the other end of the ground, but if you do it in the actual act of trying to get the ball in a contest it is unfair.

From robert Walls column in "The Age"

"In fact, what most people didn't see and haven't commented on was the battering Chris Grant copped. Part of Grant's role on Saturday night was to drop into the hole in Essendon's forward line to take away the leading space of Lloyd. Good teams will make you pay a price if you take up that valuable piece of real estate. Essendon did through Paul Barnard. As Grant ran back courageously to mark, Barnard, a split second late to contest the ball, crashed his knees into Grant's back.

So let's not get caught up too much in what Kretiuk did to Lloyd. I know I would rather have been in Lloyd's shoes than Grant's."

Well Hird and Lloyd can breath easy this week, your only playing West Coast over there. John Worsfold is such a kind and gentle man, i`m sure he wont send the likes of Jacovich out to adjust Hirds bike helmut or rip off Lloyds **** glove, and those lovely West Coast supporters will wish them both all the best. Cant wait to hear you lot squeal next week.
jboyar as you can see by the moron posts here, your on the wrong board if you are after an intelligent response . As usual another example of Bomber supporters only seeing what they want to see, hard to see out of one eye, :D :D ;)
