Scorchers missing Short. How about drop 2 of our fast bowlers and sign the one local guy who dominates the comp and would fix the weaknesses instantly. Stoinis in that camp too.

Unfortunately, we can't drop Paine because he's skipper. So they wont pick Wade, to avoid the possible selection controversy.

He'll never be picked as a wicketkeeper for Australia again. That's not to say he won't play again though.

Could bring him in to replace any of the top 6 and he’d do a better job

Wade’s batting hasn’t been up to it in Test cricket. But you have to consider if it would improve if he played as a specialist batsman. He does average 40 in FC cricket so is capable. Sangakarra and McCullum are prime examples of players whose batting took off after giving up the gloves.
