Don’t know whether it’s the wrong move just loading up on as many DGW players as I can, but it’s a ploy I’m considering. It means ignoring some really good players early on though
I've always gone with the balanced approach in bbl DGRs and I'll be doing that again

Stars have the R3 bye so I wouldn't be loading up.
I'll be going with Maxwell, Stoinis, Zampa, NCN and maybe Stanlake.

Zahir Khan is also tempting as an alternative to Zampa
If you’re planning to have Adelaide/Hobart players on the bench you can get away with going 6 stars I reckon. Particularly the cheap ones like Larkin who you can just bench and then bring on say McDermott onto field

Fiddled with my team again and came up with this

104k bank

Handscomb (Nielsen)

Short
Maxwell
Philippe
Ingram
Bryant (Turner,Pucovski)

Stoinis
Zampa
Jacks
NCN
Stanlake (Wildermuth,Green)

Need to find a way to bring in Rashid and possibly Salt and M.Short for round 2. Thoughts?

Turn that 104k bank into some dgrs from rd2 on your bench.
Don't worry that Strikers have rd1 bye
Use the cash

They would need to give Ben Dunk or Seb Gotch 4 or 5 games in a round before I'd even think of picking them.
Intersting

Both have decent form, especially at 65K and a DGR Rd1

Put on Bench with Nielsen on field - have 65K in bank

If they fail as Emergency WK then swap Nielsen with a Renegade keeper
