That hideous opening combination was always going to be a worry. You can live with Jaques but with Wells you have two of the slowest batsmen in the comp opening the innings, so even if they hang around for a few overs they put Birt and Shah under pressure to hit right away because the run rate was always s**t. Never ceases to amaze me how WWW gets so many games, can think of plenty of batsman not even getting a game that would be better.

Next BB they really need to target another batsman, preferably a batsman that can bowl a bit of spin so they can piss Krejza off. Also don't think X quite has the smarts to be a captain, a few ordinary decisions over the last few games.

Funny the top 3 teams in the end were pretty much picked as the bottom 3 by the 'experts' at the start of the year. Without knowing the exact schedules, Sixers could go OK if they can add Starc, Bad Haddin and Watson for CL.

Final next weekend should be a good game, coin toss will be pretty important. Sixers played well tonight and looked set for a comfortable win when some of the crowd started clearing out. Didn't care who won really but when they started leaving I was hoping Hobart could pull off something crazy.

I guess people leaving early take a punt on the result. Its just such a prick of a place to get in & out of with any sort of crowd over 8k. Its a nice ground but it sits next to the beach & surrounded by houses. Traffic is a bugger so people try to beat the rush, or hang around for an hour.
