See, I am of the opinion that, if criminal proceedings can be launched at a local level, why should it be different at AFL level?

Playing at the top flight should not grant anyone immunity from assault charges. In fact, I think it should be more harsh at AFL level than it is at local level given the exposure AFL gets and the fact players are idolised.

Stamp it out at AFL level and watch it trickle down.

Unlike "someone" I am not a lawyer, but my understanding is that cops and the courts steer clear of s**t in sport as long as the sport is seen to appropriately sanction in line with community standards.

My gut call, something that would cop a fine or community service typically, they are happy to leave with the AFL.

If the afl was grossly inadequate (ie $5k fine for gaff), or the act beyond a certain line (ie bloke kicks a injured player in the head), then the cops would jump in

Great show guys really enjoyed it!!......Just like to add but there's something about S. Bolton that makes me wonder if he has completely bought into the RFC culture ie if he's really prepared to work as hard as he can to break into the seniors? (I got so excited when we drafted him, I thought he was at least as talented as Dan Rioli and the possibility of seeing those two side by side just made me drool). But his work rate just doesn't seem to be there and I think that's why Butts & George are ahead of him and why he may be falling further behind. Just a thought.....
