Hoping McCauliffe was being rested due to heat and short turnover to next week. Might mean he's a possibility if an injury.
Didn't see much of Green in the last half either for perhaps the same reason.

Some good stuff out there today. Juddy Clarke needs games at senior level. Has class, work ethic, speed and smarts. That left foot should be an asset for Yze. Get him in asap I recon. Not sure what’s keeping him out at the moment, assuming it’s just continuity with his body and maybe strength?

Good hit out for the VFL side with McAuliffe the standout in the first half before being tested in the second. Judson Clarke the best 4 quarter contributor from the AFL listed players. Hayes-Brown was ok in the truck and kicked his first goal, not involved with a lot of play around the ground though. Ralphsmith got a lot of touches, with a mixture of good and bad. Trezise was another consistent performer across the 3 quarters he played, as was Kaleb Smith with both doing what was required as rebounding defenders, accountable first and then providing run and carry from behind when we got the ball back. Steely Green was good in the half of footy that he played while Coulthard was dangerous up forward with a couple of goals and creativity at ground level. Miller played a solid game at FB just going about his business with a minimum of fuss. Lefau had an interesting game, not many touches in the first half, but plenty of impact, then in the second half he started to get his hands on the footy a bit more and capitalized on the scoreboard.

Of the VFL listed players Yassine was very good in partnership with Coulthard up forward with a couple of goals. Cam Olden Chad Harris & Nick Guinney had moments where they impacted the game, while El Nour was probably our best defender in the game with intercept marks/possessions and also a goal. McCarthy was good in partnership with McAuliffe in the midfield. Up forward it wasn't an ideal day for Archie May to make an impact with a lot of the entries being poor due to the wind.

The VFL preseason games with continue on Thursday afternoon when we take on Carlton before the Round 1 clash against Carlton

Clarke was doing non-contact drills for the majority of the pre-season until maybe a few weeks out. Similar to Coultard, both are likely still being somewhat managed through the VFL whilst coming back from injury.

Going to be A LOT of competition between Sonsie, Clarke, Coulthard, Green, Campbell and MRJ (possibly Cumberland too) for the AFL small forward postions.

Do you think the commentator followed the tiges at all? he sounded like he shot a load each time we got a goal. 🤣
Sounded like the guy who use to interview Steve Morris after every game, can't remember his name he,worked in Richmond media team

So how good was McAuliffe? Did he get alot of the ball? pace? skill?
Very good in the first half and then sat out the second half. Won ball in the middle and around the ground and used it quite well.
