I can appreciate the whole romantic "supported as a kid" however Ange just does not give the vibes that he is a cut n run when something (appearing) bigger opens up. He has only just started this project and is exceeding expectations. Levy and co fully trust him and back him with transfers (and Paratici is a genius). I cannot see him leaving. Liverpool may also fall off a cliff.
Liverpool job only comes up once in a lifetime but then if he wins something with Spurs and they become the team he makes everywhere else he probably gets any job in world football he wants

Every journalist worth their salt in England has said that there is no chance Ange leaves us. I'll take their word over Andy Maher's.
Any manager that follows Klopp is taking a big risk. It will be the same for anyone following Pep. Going to be almost impossible to match the expectations of the fans early on.
United still haven't recovered from Ferguson. A very good manager in Emery got pushed out of Arsenal

Only his last two clubs.....not a criticism of Ange, only natural, but you can't say that.

He won the J League and then two Scottish Premierships plus a few domestic cups. He actually achieved success before he moved on. I don't get the feeling he will do the same with us when the project has just started and for what seems like an eternity we have Levy and Co on the same page as the manager and his staff. If I'm wrong Ill put my hand up. Liverpool seem hell bent on Alonso anyway.

Alonso will be going there for sure.

The only time Ange has left a senior gig before achieving success was leaving Victory for the Socceroos job which was a once in a lifetime opportunity for him.

I really doubt that he sees the step from Spurs to Liverpool as once in a lifetime. I also doubt that he is sentimental about wanting to coach his "childhood team".

He ain't going to Liverpool.

1) he has a contract.
2) Levy would charge Liverpool more than their club is worth to release him.
3) even if 2 was considered, Levy would't risk being stung up from the giant cockerel above Spurs stadium. Because that is exactly what would happen.

To be honest if for whatever reason Liverpool were stupid enough to pay #2

It would be easy for Levy to get it right from here, with the talent at our disposal and with Liverpool cash + NFL and concert money, he could just go get Xabi Alonso, who I'm sure will be a great PL manager

Could be a win/win for us.

1) We get Alonso and a shitload of filthy lucre AND

2) A giant c*ck gets strung up from a giant c*ck

Everyone’s a winner.

Didn’t say he wasn’t interested or no chance, his words were carefully chosen. Could’ve handled it better imo.
He laughed off the idea of there being a list and his name being on it. And that managers are either getting sacked in public like Roy or touted for jobs when they're not even looking for one like he is

Really? I thought he dismissed it massively
I thought he was dismissing it but could see how others view it differently

Even the tabloids have viewed it as him dismissing it

I’m now concerned about Ange leaving after his presser. Definitely think he will go if they offer it to him.

Get a grip mate.

1) he dismissed it.
2) Alonso is getting the job anyway.
3) there’s no release clause in Ange’s contract and Levi would set the price so high that it’s not an option.

Don't see him jumping ship immediately.

Not that I think he's a 10 year manager either... if he was 2-3 full seasons into a Spurs career then I'd be concerned.

Levy: "Whatever you think he's worth, double it. Then double it again. Then I'll consider considering it."
