This confirms the caller from yesterday on SEN wasnt making it up.
Riewoldt doesn't want to coach. Spend off season in Texas with wife's family. Prefers media work

For full disclosure, the former (dogs) is a reasonable chance. The latter is more speculation, but been told watch this space.Where has it been confirmed it was the Dogs
Polec would be a great get .Close probably referring to the western suburbs of Melbourne, perhaps Footscray. Son of a gun? Libba, Wallis?
Who would we want from PAFC? A late charge for Polec? Boak?

Considering the CFC trading shop is now open, be interesting to see who SOS regards as a potential trade from our list.
Polec would be a great get .
The issue is the cost. Apparently North have offered big money and he would cost Top 20 pick.
FWIW - Domain Stadium was built to exact same dimensions as MCG.
Jgm’s struggles has nothing to do with ASOS, who spent most of this year injured anyway. JGM simply isn’t up to it. L’ob is quality and already miles better than JGM. It’s not an apt analogy.

When did * become the leaders for Gaffs signature?

We are - Pies ahead of us though.Who said we are? I don't think so
Libba. If you had one choice, Wallis or Libba?
According to Jon Ralph in the HUN today, NORF are in the box seat for Gaff & Polec.![]()

NORTH Melbourne will be asked to hand over its No.9 draft pick for Jared Polec, who could be joined by Andrew Gaff at the Kangaroos next year.
But the Power believes if the Roos are so desperate to secure him they will be happy to hand over their first pick.
The Roos need to move on that pick in some way before they are forced to bid for indigenous academy prospect Tarryn Thomas, and could also secure West Coast’s Gaff as a free agent.
Libba.

More importantly, there must be some massive leaking at that club, over the last couple of years
Reeks of desperation from Norf to land a big fish.

"Goddess"

They won't get both, WC will match any offer, forcing any club to trade

Think he is talented, would be a decent get, but still get a downhill skier feel about him
I now want guys that stem the flow

I don't know anything about his off field issues and don't watch a lot of non Carlton matches, I just like his best football. Wallis is just 'a player'.Interesting choice
so its not related to asos, its related to our development of him. There is nothing wrong with bringing in mature bodies to allow younger players coverage and to develop per se.JGM’s struggles were absolutely related to Silvagni coming in.
JGM showed in his first year that he was going to be a one dimensional defender, albeit one that showed promise as a stopper on the big strong forwards (Prestigiacomo style). Like Presti, Coming off his man and intercepting wasn’t his go, neither was rebounding, but he was able to wear his direct opponent like a glove and fist the ball away in one on ones or on the lead. Despite heavy defeats that season, JGM didn’t have many goals kicked on him.
Then in comes Alex Silvagni, a similar style of player and being a seasoned AFL player, obviously a better one than a rookie listed 19 year old JGM. Silvagni then takes over as the stopper on the big forwards (played bloody well mind you) and forces JGM out to another role on a flank that didn’t suit him and he struggled. Then Jones takes this role over from Silvagni and JGM again gets shoehorned into a role that doesn’t suit him. The point isn’t to compare whose a better player out of JGM or LOB, it’s to show what can happen when you bring in players that don’t compliment one another and how shoehorning one into another role that doesn’t suit their strengths, can stunt their development.
Port would be silly to trade him. 20 years old, contracted until 2020. He's their future.
Port likely to go into rebuild mode soon.
