Stringer to Carlton: after making contact neither party overly interested.
Just heard. West Coast very keen to get Cripps back home. Assembling a war chest apparently - Gaff and their 1st said to be up for grabs as a starter. Multiple young Vic lads said to be also available to include. Source - member of the WCE coterie group (owner of greyhounds in my mates kennels).
Not sure if this is classified as a rumour.
Sorry if this has been covered already.
following up from this the 2 front running clubs for Stringer are the bombers and cats.
Bombers are offering 600k not sure on trade assuming a straight swap for their 1st but who knows with dodoro
Cats are offering 500k and offering Stanley and pick 20
Cats are more likely at this stage.
Source is someone who knows Stringer
Talked about a bit already but Darcy Lang definitely leaning towards a trade at the end this year wanting more senior midfield opportunity. Carlton interested again for the right price. Geelong brought him back into the team for finals not just on form but to help drive up trade price. Source is someone with connection to Geelong players.
Not a real juicy one but...
- Blues to create new position for a Gm of media and PR.
Before anyone asks - No this is not a reaction to or have any relation to the negative publicity we are recieving at the moment.
O'Shea will be rookied
Five re-signings to be announced tonight at BnF
Specific reason behind Gibbs requesting a trade last year has been resolved. Both he and partner reportedly content to stay put and see out current contract #Bluemour
Former blue who is playing in GF next week has been offered a job at Carlton upon retirement which he will accept. Still very much a bluebagger at heart.
D Barrett claiming Gibbs will be dealt despite Carlton's "contracted player" comments.
Rockliff talks are advanced and Brisbanes low ball offer will mean our offer will result in pk 19 compo.
One phone call to check my roster. 3 rumours. My new big boss is a Bulldogs member. TIFWIW.
1. Bulldogs wanting to select the destination club for Stringer. Blues believed to be one of 2 clubs preferred, I'd say NM could be other. They want an early pick for Stringer, BUT, are prepared to add another disgruntled best 22 player in package. (Liberatore?? I say.......crickets I hear)
2. Bulldogs also looking to get a certain GF star into a better headspace. Prepared to pay a large part of owed salary to move him. Want him to go somewhere new that has no heightened expectations. He knows I'm a Blues supporter so the inference was obvious.
3. The other one came from the Hawk supporter who answered the phone. Hawks rumours he's hearing say that they will be helping Blues with draft pick upgradeand/or player for the O'Meara trade. No names or numbers, just murmurings on Hawks website.
Barker staying as blues assistant coach next year as Gary Ayers will be at the suns in 2018.
Respected local footy/vfl scribe Paul Amy tweeted out that we're linked with a "well regarded vfl assistant".
Club and senior players meeting with Rockliff tomorrow
From a friend who met with MLG last week. Said we are not going to offer anyone overs in terms of dollars. As soon as we found out the dollars being asked from Camp Kelly we got the hell out of there. We won't offer a ridiculous amount to Rocky. This is consistent with Niall's article today that what we will offer would not trigger first round comp pick for Lions.
Bryce wants to stay but is honestly doesn't know where he'll be in 2018. No surprise that the offer from Adelaide will be the major component of the decision the club makes. At this stage he doesn't really know what the club is going to do.
Simon Lethlean will either be at Carlton, Collingwood or Western Bulldogs

SOS wanted to get rid of Casboult however Bolton insisted we hold onto him, hence why he signed on for two more years.
As I understand the salary cap dump player from GWS (in the Smith and Kennedy deal) may in fact be a player that we nearly had from GWS a few years ago but had the rug pulled from under us at the eleventh hour.
