See Blot has moved to country Victoria. Wonder if there are any brown snakes in his new neighbourhood. A poisonous snake, bitten by a poisonous snake. Has a nice ring to it.

Did nothing but put the place down.

And what a joke, the dead s**t is moving an hours drive to the Mornington Peninsula .

Somehow think the numbers in Melbourne proper telling him what a dangerous, divisive, disinforming s**t he is has been a significant reason for him running. Low life.

It must grate Laborites that the only political party Bolt has worked for is the ALP. He was Bob Hawke’s campaign manager in the 80’s & 90’s.

Bob Hawke, who is Labor’s most successful PM in history called Bolt one of his biggest influences politically. I do find it funny that one who Laborites idolise, was as thick as thieves with Bolt.

Bob was from Bordertown, you can only expect so much from a south australian ;)

That can't be correct. Bolt only got started in journalism after Hawke's career ended. Bolt was first nationally prominent in the early 2000's on Insiders around the time of the Iraq War I think. Hawke was long retired from politics by then, only doing the occasional Labor campaign event.

You must have it the opposite way around. Bolt worked on Hawke's campaign in the 80's, before he realized being a right wing Murdoch shill was more lucrative. But it seems Bolt was only a staffer in one Labor communications team, as a 20 something intern, and probably had no relationship with Hawke beyond a handshake.

No way could you describe them as being "thick as thieves". If Bolt has said Hawke did influence him plitically it'll be along the lines of Abbott's or Latham's "tribute" to Hawke:

Bob Hawke was one of the good old "traditional" Labor types that existed before the party was taken over by "Marxist Extremists" like Shorten and Albanese. If Hawke were alive today he'd be a Liberal or One Nation.

Bolt was on Hawke’s election campaign in 2 elections.

He was also a staffer for the ALP’s federal MP John Reeves, then Gary Gray, who later became the ALP’s National Secretary & then the ALP opposition leader in NT, Bob Collins.

He also married a sister of an ALP MP.

Gray found Bolt a job with aNiMaLS, the feared Labor attack machine of the Hawke and Keating years. aNiMaLS was the moniker given to the more prosaic, official title of National Media Liaison Service. But aNiMaLS was a highly political unit led by Labor apparatchiks which specialised in opposition research, rapid tactical response and marginal seat campaigning. Other alumni of aNiMaLS include the respected and ubiquitous David Epstein (a former chief of staff to Kevin Rudd); Labor veteran Colin Campbell; Rosemary Church, now a presenter with CNN; Col Parkes; and the highly-regarded Jack Lake, a long time Labor operative and also most recently a former senior advisor to Kevin Rudd.

Keating was also very close to Bolt.

If you notice that on Bolt’s show every week he has Kimberley Kitching. She is a current ALP senator who got her position due to Bill Shorten.

Kitching and Bolt are very close. Kitching has even defended Bolt legally in a previous position. Kitching is married to Andrew Landeryou, who was an ALP heavy and the son of Bill Landeryou, who was very close to Bob Hawke.

Lot of 6 degrees of separation there.

Why would Kitching be close to a guy that obviously hates her party. She doesn't seem to be able to change his view or influence his audience. It's like Eric Abetz appearing on Triple J's Hack on a regular basis.

Always source your quote. That would be the IPA version of history and that mob are more bent than Julian Clary.

Yes, that right wing ‘The Monthly’ too....

There a many examples of people who have radically changed there views on all sorts on matters, not just politics. What's relevant is the extreme rightist views of a dangerous paranoid conspiracy theorist who has been spreading his anti science neo Liberal disinformation for years.

He's a 2nd rate journo who has seen an opportunity to earn big bucks by preaching to those with Trumpist mentalities.

Or maybe the ALP have veered that much to the left that someone who worked for 3 individual ALP MP’s and on 2 federal election campaigns is considered an extreme rightist.

It isn’t surprising that the ALP have never governed in their own right after winning an election since 1974 with a leader and a party not controlled by the right.
