He really needs to be alot more professional.
In your eyes...........
Essendon is happy with Rioli thats all that matters.

Why would we fall to 8th-12th next year ?

Look at the facts -

1. We coudlnt possibly have a worse year with injury in 2003
2. Lloyd couldnt possibly have as bad a year in 2003 at full forward
3. Salmon will be a better player in 2003 with 2002 under his belt
4. We lost caracella, blumfield and heffernan, but what did they do in 2002 anyway - nothing.

1. What injuries???? What a load of crap, who was injured other than your regular injury plagued players? Lloyd, fair enough, but he still played 16 matches. Just another Bomber excuse.

2. Debateable, without the supply of 3 key midfielders it could be argued he will have a much worse year next year.

3. This is just pure crap, Salmon was woeful at best this year and will be next to useless next year, unlike wines Players don't get better with age.

4. Caracella was 2nd on your leading kick getter list, Blumfield 10th, All 3 were amongst your top 10 tacklers, Caracella and Heffernan were in the top 8 goalkickers, Caracella and Blumfield were amonst the top 6 mark getters. I would say they are going to be a huge loss.

Essendon will struggle to make the 8.

Misiti, Hird, Lloyd, Alessio, Mercuri, Fletcher, Wellman, McGrath, Solomon, Moorcroft, Peverall, Gee no injuries.......

Keep dreaming that we are struggling, I love it......

Misiti, Hird, Mecuri - Injury prone, you could have guaranteed they were not going to play every game this year.

Solomon - Fair Enough

Lloyd - Fair Enough, although he did play the majority of the season.

Fletcher? When? He only missed 4 games! 2 of them were through suspension!!!

Peverill??? Played 21 Games!!!
Wellman??? Played 22 Games!!!
McGrath??? Couldn't make the side on most occassions
Moorcroft??? Missed most of his games through omission rather than injury, still played the majority of the season

Port Adelaide had more injuries than Essendon this year but do you hear us whinging about it? It is just another from the huge book of Essendon excuses.

They are not excuses they are fact.......
Moorcroft would have played all year, he had a fractured hip.
McGrath would have played a lot of senior footy but did two ankles.
Welly missed 2 games from a hammy or groin can't remember
Pev broke his arm and because of our injury troubles only missed 2 games and wore an arm guard.
Fletcher had blood poisoning and missed three if my memory serves me correctly.
Misiti, Hird and Mercs are injury prone so we can't count their injuries get real........
So yes all those injuries did happen, and are valid.
I never said we had the WORST injuries, but we did have a lot and it is FACT................

No you didn't, you had at most the average amount of injuries for the year.

I think somewhere between 5-12. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and voted for 5-8. They are still a good team.

No it's not, simply because you right the word "fact" in capital letters doesn't make it so. Like I said Port Adelaide had more injuries than Essendon and I wouldn't say we had a 'bad' run with injuries, it certainly didn't stop us winning the Minor Premiership.

Top 4, and easily.

Your right, go Don's

Zombie I thought that it might get through your thick skull if I used Capitals, obviously I was wrong.

Spot on. Take a look at all these armchair experts? Hoping, praying for the mighty to fall. They'll come up with any reason factual or not. I just have a read, and let 2003 take care of itself. I know that we'll be up there ... where we end up will be determined by a number of factors ... luck included.

OK - how?

Your midfield looks in the worst 4 in the competition at the moment. It's Jason Johnson, daylight, some more daylight, then maybe the likes of Mark Johnson or McVeigh. Not even the most optimistic Bomber supporter would bank of Misiti and Mercuri bothering to turn up half the time.

And where is the depth? The ruck division is clearly the worst in the AFL. The backline desparately needs Solomon, and who knows how fit he will be.

And without Lloyd firing the forward line was ordinary.

Will make the 8 if they get a good run with injury, but will be making up the numbers. Otherwise will finish 10-12.

What don't you understand?

Essendon injuries:

Hird, played more games than he usually does so he did more than expected.

Mecuri, fair enough, is injury prone though and still played 11 games.

Misiti, played 15 games, he averages 17 games a year so only a little different.

Lloyd, fair enough, still played 16 games though.

Solomon, only serious injury.

So reallistically Essendon only had Mecuri, Solomon and Llyod who were injured and they still played 25 games between then so that is in effect losing 2 players for the year.

Essendons injuries were mild in comparison to teams like Cartlon and St.Kilda and were about the same as the majority of the other clubs.

We aren't hoping for Brisbane to fall, remember Essendon were fairly average this year and were lucky to make the finals.

You losing another argument? Don't worry just change the focus to another club like you always do  Oh and is that another Essendon excuse I hear for losing another game?

With Cupido feeding Lloyd, you can`t help but be excited.

Putting puns and plays on words aside, I doubt very much if Cupido will be "feeding" the ball to anyone, least of all Lloyd.

That's not his game. Cupido is a receiver/crumber type player. From watching his game for nearly 3 years, I can tell you that he is far more likely to try a flashy snap close to goal or a bomb from outside 50 than to aim pinpoint passes to team-mates.

He's not a high possession player. Not only that, he DOES tend to waste a lot of the one's he does get.

I can also tell you that he has an enormous amount of maturing to do before he becomes anything like a complete footballer. If your coaching staff can get inside his head, that may occur sooner than later. The ability is there, but the application?.......hmmmmm.

If you think he is all ready to rock up as some kind of Messiah to kick start your side, I think you may be in for a rude shock:eek:

Not sour grapes.....just my honest opinion.

Your always having cheap shots at him............

I have nothing against Rolly at all.

No....NOOO!!!!!

Anything but that.

Yell you what......promise you'll keep him and we'll give you our first draft pick every year for the next 3 years....no wait....make it 5.

Hey Stocka!!!

Nice trolling......good to see you spread yourself around. The fish are biting well today.

Fair enough Luthor and thank you for your thoughts. I`ve hopped on the Cupido wagon early, liked what I saw in the Briz games he played, and we`ll just see how he goes hey ?

While you are at it Windy, you could also hop on the Rioli bandwagon. I reckon he'd be capable of taking the entire teenage Lloyd fan club for a ride around the ground before the game, if he doesn't get a run in the firsts.
