Well if the deal is 600k surely the compo is pick 39 odd like Ellis
Or the mighty afl just making sh*t up as usual
At $600K I expect we will keep our best midfielder on less than $650k pa he is currently on & far less than the $750k pa we offered him at the beginning of the year.I reckon the Crows shot themselves in the foot by threatening to match.
The Saints may have been willing to offer say $750k x 5 if it was as a FA. But, with the Crows threatening to match then the Saints probably thought "well if we have to trade for him (ie if it doesn't hit band 1) then we are only willing to pay $600pa."
In other words, at $600k, I suspect the Saints are happy to trade
Hahaha you think the number lodged on the paperwork was a surprise to him?Except that before he tested the market it was rumoured that they had $900k on his head. If anything, he should be more appreciative of the offer we originally had on the table. I bet it's nit looking as low bally now.

It might well be that St Kilda and the crows had agreed a salary dump player for the Saints to have raised their offer - and if that offer was still too low for band 1, they ran the risk of paying brad extra and the crows walking away from taking a player or 2 to help relieve some salary cap. Brad might not have had much choice but to sign on at a lower rate considering he had no other contract offer to date

But on less money than he is on now or the $750k pa we offered prior to COVID.
Happy to keep Brouch, but he should get a new manager.
The best part of this fiasco is all the media vultures who have got it so damn wrong AGAINWhere is every clown that posted 750-800k per year?
Why would Adelaide do that? Everyone would prefer Adelaide's picks.accepts compo pick
Then saints 15 and next years 3rd
For Adelaide's compo and 20
You don't think Adelaide were informed on what the market dictated prior to agreeing to st kildas terms?Except that before he tested the market it was rumoured that they had $900k on his head. The pre COVID deal the Crows pulled you mean? But on less money than he is on now or the $750k pa we offered prior to COVID.

So let's talk about the trade. Saints first rounder is off the table. So then what?If he accepts he stays if he doesn't he gets traded or goes into a draft if that fails. It's not a state secret or particularly complicated.
How are Lycett and Ellis different bands for the exact same contract both after winning premiershipsThat all seems completely consistent. Whats your issue with it?
It's actually very close.Essendon are paying 450K over 4 years which isn't close to St Kilda's reported 600K offer to Crouch. St Kilda's offer to Caldwell was similar to ours.
Caldwell reportedly chose Essendon over St Kilda for more opportunities after Crouch nominated St Kilda.
No one would take it dippymarty36 lucky you bitched out on the bet that you wouldn’t get pick 2
Your prize, you get to keep your BF account, with extra salt on top [emoji8]
Pretty strange if true. Why would he accept a lower offer than that, unless he really wanted out?

Because thats the rule. Theres no more negotiating on that contract. His options are:
1. Get traded.
2. Accept the matched offer
3. Draft
No other options available. The rules are quite clear. For me, Im hoping he chooses draft. He can join Cameron and Saad. They may even televise the PSD this year. And if Dodoro is being Dodoro then Caldwell can come along for the ride. Lets get the party started!
Spot on. Saints first rounder is also off the table too. Why risk nothing to get a slight pick upgrade. Makes no sense!Because thats the rule. Theres no more negotiating on that contract. His options are:
