What a lovely Birthday Gift for Chris Scott! Happy Birthday from the boys to you Chris!! 🔵⚪🎁🥳

I know Mullin still has along way to go...

But I can guarantee you all that Nick Daicos will feel that game tomorrow.

Mullin is a unit and he gave it to him all game long and got under his skin.

Daicos still got 30 odd - he does ever week - but ill take Mulllin's effort this week.

GO Catters
He got 30 but they were very hard possessions. Clearly not as effective.

Mullin did a very good job tonight.

I wasn't sure what to expect but he was reasonably good, other than giving the Pies a couple of goals.

That sideways handball to absolutely no-one was a clanger like I've never seen 😳
6 score involvements and 17 effective disposals (only 6 players on the ground had more) from half back for Mitch. Fair effort first game back in one of the highest pressure games of the season.

David King: “One man stood between Collingwood + victory. I should say, four men in green + one with #35. Jack, it’s a factor! It’s a factor! They got 14 of the last 18 free kicks.” Blah, blah, blah. “But Collingwood were hard done by in that last 12 minutes of football.”

If Clark can just get his body right over another preseason, he's not far from clicking into gear as he has the toughness and the skills.

Mullin looked so good through the middle. I was hoping we saw more of this sooner. He's a powerful young man.
We only had 10 centre clearance for the entire game and Oisin had a team high 3 of them. Not bad for a guy that was in the middle to tag. He has had some success with tagging in the past. He went well on lachie neale but didn’t spend an entire game on him. Definitely his best gig

He traditionally plays well after a lay off then stinks it up next game or two. Maybe a rest for a couple of weeks 😉

I try to not get political within football threads but for a lot of today I've been thinking about my dad & 2007

My dad was a diehard Geelong supporter and he passed the love of the Blue & White onto me - even though I was born on the GC, I knew what Geelong was before I knew it where it was or moving to the area. We moved back to Geelong in 88, so dad saw the losses in 89 & 92 before he died in 93, so at least he didn't have to watch the back to back losses of 94 & 95

Being a youngster when he died we never spoke about politics, so I never knew which way he was inclined or had it influence me as I became voter age and taken my own interest in it

The first I learnt about his political ideas was the night of the 07 Federal election when my brother texted me - "Dad would have loved this year", referring to the Grand Final win and Rudd getting up

So as I said earlier, I'm not looking to turn this into a political discussion, but I do know that wherever my dad is watching from tonight that he'll be loving today and enjoying an extra beer in celebration - and that makes me happy
This is heartwarming. Such a good story

One thing that gets lost is just how tough our fixture has been to start the year.

We have played

1st Collingwood away
2nd Brisbane away
4th Adelaide away
7th Hawthorn away
9th Freo Home
10th St Kilda away
13th Carlton away
14th Melbourne home

When Hawthorn win tomorrow they will probably jump to 3rd, meaning we have played the top 3 teams in the league.

Even our easy games are against the best of the rest not the true dregs like North and West coast.

Now he's asking Blitz if he felt the umps 'favouring' the Cats in the last 10 - 15 mins.....

And Riewoldt questioning him about Bobby Hill's chase......
Just about to watch it.

Except beer is finished, do I need to open a bottle of Bubbles to endure it?

Just noting:

Wiltshire - 2 games
Clark - 21 games
Lawson - 19 games
Mannagh - 17 games
Mullin - 25 games
Neale - 28 games
O'Sullivan - 9 games

A full third of the team under 30 games.

Insane.

Ahem and 11 players under 100 games

Future is looking BRIGHT at KP.

Loved some of his efforts in that last quarter. He’ll get a lot from that.

EAD Kingy.. The number of free kicks is irrelevant.

You can’t tackle below the knees, doesn’t matter how impressive the run down is. If the goal umpire’s call was touched then it’s up to the replay to overturn it without any doubt, it couldn’t etc. etc.

Clutch Kings
I’m not so sure about that, a lot of those wins have come off opponents misses rather than us kicking the win.
