We had 6 rushed behinds and a couple of posters tonight. Kick a bit straighter, and a bit higher, and the margin would've been similar to the 2022 Prelim.

Mannagh norm smith - bookmark it

Was watching a YouTube clip during the week where someone predicted the finals series and he had us winning the flag and Mannagh being named Norm Smith too. The bloke seems built for finals footy.

FYI, in the video, they predicted we'd actually lose tonight, but then go through the hard way by beating Freo and the Crows in Adelaide and then blitz the Giants in the granny.

Best thing was we fixed the goalkicking within the game.

Started 4.11 and ended 16.16

Main thing was the quality of our chances increased out of sight.

It was better but still missed some chances in the 3rd to put it to bed and kept them in it too long. Can't afford that in a GF but honestly if we play our best in the next 2 games I dont think the oppo can go with us.

Always felt the fawning over Brisbane was a little too over the top. Poor form line. Injuries. Our team is good and the only thing against us was the soft draw. Proved it. And f*ck was that enjoyable. Raynor can p*ss off too

I had to watch the game with a side eye as I'm at work, so looking forward to a replay. The first half seemed like the Lions were flowing or slingshotting much better and we were a bit scrappy getting the ball down the field. Then bang we lay a few on. Then that debacle of free kicks. Honestly I was thinking of 2009 and Milburn and us coming back out strong. And sure enough we seemed to use the spaces better and closed them down better. And another couple of bursts it was good night.

There won't be ramifications for Rayner - there's no way known the AFL fine him for staging - it'd mean they'd have to cop it on the chin for the shit umpiring.
