Finnbar and Scott out for, Curtis and Ford or Phillips.

Finnbar has had a taste and shown some really good attributes, but Curtis the obvious in if fit,,,,and hopefully Finbarrs conversion continues to improve, he can dominate VFL with that bit of confidence from playing at AFL level and get another look later in the year.

Ford I think offers a lot of versatility in being able to play forward, flanks, wing and adds to team flexibility.

Phillips did the job for 3/4 on Daicos last year, before he destroyed us in Q4. Hopefully we've learnt from that, and rotate others in that role.

not sure if he deserves the call up, but wouldn't be against considering WillPhil to lock onto Naicos, providing he won't be gassed and subbed out at half time again

Collingwood have learned from last years month of tagging. The rotation minding like on Neale is probably the better way to go.

that's where I am leaning if PC is not 100%

wilphil in for scott

move powell to scotts wing

and then any of fisher, ford or cooper could be sub

Powell is not a wing. I am not sure whether people watch the game or not but he does not have the run to do it. He is a midfielder plain and simple. It is either there or nowhere.

B: Corr, Pink, McDonald
HB: Daniel, Comben, Hardeman
C: McKercher, LDU, Stephens
HF: Sheezel, Darling, Zurhaar
F: Konstanty, Larkey, Curtis
Foll: Xerri, Wardlaw, Powell

I: Simpkin, O'Sullivan, Parker, Ford, Fisher (sub)

In: Curtis, Fisher, Ford
Out: Scott, Duursma, Maley

I"d love to see Konstanty play a negating role on Josh Daicos if he starts off half back

On your last point, this has been repeated enough to become accepted, but it’s not accurate.

Daicos was influential throughout the third quarter and the fourth. Basically the entire second half. He had 18 of his 29 after half time.

no change
Scott can be sub. Give Dursma a good run at it

No way Corr is being dropped..
I’d also like to see Zane get more time - but I don’t see what Scott is adding as a starting player or as a sub. I rarely criticise our players but I can’t remember anyone dropping so far and fast from being a consistently valuable player to a limited contributor and frequent liability. Anyone who can play a role would add more. If PC is right to go, in PC, out Scott. If not, in Ford or anyone else who is fit and firing.

Probably the biggest game of Hardemans career coming up, on one of Hill or Elliott.

Mcdonald probably gets the other one. In my view that's where it's won or lost, I think our midfield matches up pretty well against theirs and Curtis likely back is a big in against a pretty physical defensive back six for them.

If we can negate Daicos somehow and Hill and Elliott are kept relatively quiet I think there's a genuine chance we make a bit of a statement here, but those three are very good players

Keep Maley in.

Not many changes needed this week.

Only considerations would be bringing PC in (but only if he's 100%), as well as Scott and Duursma out.
Pink has done enough for me.

Corr is give or take. Would be Dawson if he Corr is dropped

They don't run a very tall forward line.
If you look at the match ups already re Collingwood,
We'd be better off with Ford coming in for Corr.

Not in the team, not as sub, shouldn’t even be an emergency. Back to the twos for an extended run.
Not sure how even got the call up in the first place

I'd give him a second chance. Consistency of selection can really work with some players, especially those who have lost a bit of confidence ( and he obviously has)
He's proven he can play at this level before, so why not give him another go. Not like players in the 2's are smashing the door down

Honestly I’d rather bring Urquhart in than Phillips at this stage.

Rightly or wrongly I think it’s clear Phillips won’t be a part of our future.

Urkel’s VFL stats from the weekend seem decent and was rated pre-draft for his defensive efforts. Have him follow Naicos around to see what elite players are doing around the ground.

He likely gets pretty comprehensively beaten but I think that’s the outcome regardless of who it is.

At least Urkel has the potential to improve and be a part of our long term future
