Why is Tucker still in the team? He brings absolutely nothing to the team. He's an ordinary kick, and ordinary mark, doesn't kick goals, doesn't add anything defensively. He's almost always reactive and plays behind. His decision making is slow and usually the wrong option. Seriously why is he still in the team?
I ask myself this every week. Another Rawlings masterstroke wasting those two picks on him and Logue.

Zurhaar copping a lot of grief and should be much better but we only got 39 I50s.

It’s a whole team issue and with the quality we’ve got we should be playing better.
Tactics are playing a huge role in our game style.
Who out of our coaches is our tactical expert
He is part of the reason we only had 39. At half forward not taking marks he should, spoiling teammates, not winning the ball. He has been as shit as anyone and consistently shit.

I was pleased at getting Logue at the time. Really thought he could be a decent defender, his body has let him down for the majority but now like basically everyone we bring in, his potential has drastically dropped. He is another that seems to have a mindset of "oh well as long as it's not my direct matchup that kicks a goal" which leads to bad decisions and setting the next bloke up to fail. There's not much gelling of this backline and it seems like most are content with the team giving up 20 goals as long as they only gave up 1 or 2.

I'd love to play poker against Brady. Feels like he'd show me his hand if I promised him id buy him a beer with my winnings

Somewhat impressed that you lot have had the enthusiasm to produce 24 pages of game preview content after last week.

This is about all I can muster.

Might watch it because Wardlaw's playing. Or then I might not. Don't remember feeling this unperturbed about a North game in a long, long time.

Logue was fine until he did his knee. Came back, was decent, then did his wrist. 18 month injury shit show.

I think it's on us not making sure he was match fit, ready to go. He broke down in rd1. And he's looked heavy, slow, and indecisive since.

this is just dumb $hit at the selection panel. I was looking forward to this week but instead of dropping players up the ground they're doing a cop out job at the defenders when its the mids and forwards not doing their damn job.

Logue (this one I agree with) for Pink should have been the move and Corr stays in.

For the routine track watchers out there,

are our captains runs as low intensity as todays?

Only time I caught one in Melbourne we were already off the track and in the sheds.

I went and watched gws captains run part year and the intensity and ball movement was at a really impressive standard

Yeh I’m not planning my day around it like I usually do. If I’m home I’ll watch, if not I’ll keep an eye on scores in case of an upset

I had a neutral tell me he watched us train and it was shits and giggles and the Suns train and they were red hot trainers

I forgot to ask if he saw us training with soccer balls

Look, it was a shit trade, but if we can't do anything with the first rounders we have, what would another one achieve?
We don't need best available midfielders and things can change in trade week.s
Half the top 20 is tied to academies and NGA players and are mostly midfielders, which we don't need.
The best small fwds are tied to other clubs and only really two talls in the 8-20 range in Ludowyke and Curtin that I think we'd be interested in. But I guess there will be some fomo over whoever is in that top 6 range.

Whenever I watch them train I am always dismayed by the lack of intensity. I have no doubt that my team trained harder two nights per week in the amos in the 1980's.

Yeah.

Drop Zurhaar for someone, Arch for Fisher ... maybe one other change but coaches don't like making those wholesale changes these days.

Port Adelaide are the biggest front runners. Can genuinely see this being an 80 point belting, especially with no genuine key defenders and bringing in an underdone Archer.

Considering we don’t want the ball in Simpkin’s hands as he is the biggest momentum killing, I’d love to see him back himself to tag Butters. Take their barometer out of the game.

Why is RHJ an.emergency this week after.m doing nothing in the VFL last week ..... wrong message .... while Harvey and Phillips.
who have been good worjing hard and been effective most weeks can't get a look in.
Think RHJ had about 12 touches at half time in the vfl , when he was taken off to be emergency for the afl

Yes with no Will Phillips, Jy has to be the man.

You pay close attention to Rozee. Butters gets ball and hands it out. Tagging that will only cause free kicks at the stoppage. It’ll be a waste. Pay attention to him and get between him and the stoppage at the bounce of the ball but he is not an outside player. No point tagging butters.

Tucker has been serviceable, but in any event, he was traded for a round 3 concessional pick, which the AFL tied to trading for a player. With a pick so heavily compromised, you're not going to be buying a marque player

Yeah I feel like the being forced to trade the picks for players is being forgotten. They were good picks at the time.

Fair enough if today we’re feeling they haven’t turned out well. Maybe that feeling will have changed by the end of the season.
