Even if that's true, including them in the squad sends the wrong ****ing message. They were supposedly dropped for standards, during a week when the VFL was on a bye. Last week they played their 1st and only VFL game since being dropped and both played like crap. And now they're in the squad of 26.

Meanwhile Tucker was dropped for poor performance, went to the VFL, and dominated so hard he was our leading possession getter and basically BOG. Does he earn a call up back to the squad? No.

We are an unserious football club and it's no wonder our culture is dog shit; we not only foment but actively encourage an environment where accountability is non-existent.

Yeah but it's hard to enjoy that right now because of other moves.

I agree on the messaging. I know we differ on Will, and while I think this move was likely, it should have ben a Friday call to show that he is still a valued member of the squad. Only saving grace is if there is an issue with a KP or two that we don't know about.

We cannot be a serious football club. Scott and Darling were appalling last week and should have been dropped. Logue and Corr did nothing to shine in the magoos. Will Phil is desperately unlucky, he was the only midfielder with clean hands and skills last week. We have no standards. I feel so flat.

When we are up and running and ready our fortress wont be in Tassie, our fortress will be Marvel Stadium and teams will hate playing us there, patience.
Mate, your ongoing optimism and positivity is admirable

Looking at who is named on the bench, I'd think Wardlaw, Stephens and hopefully Maley are all in. From who is left, Fisher makes the most sense as sub, which would leave one of Scott, Payne, Corr and Logue for the last spot, I'd hope Payne gets a home state debut.

Logue or Corr presumably a possibilty if they think they need an extra tall down back and given they haven't dropped Scott, he'd be a possible sub too, but none of those would be my choice.... not that I know anything!

Phillips very stiff.

The Darling one is an interesting one too.

Why would a 300 game forward desperately out of form want to travel to freezing old Tassie on a Sunday night to do sweet f-all, while we play two other talls and Duursma, against the raining premiers where we’re no chance so his ‘leadership’ means nothing for the group? Weird selection.

Duursma is the interesting one, he should be considered a tall forward until he improves his strength and athleticism.

Look on the bright side at least we are getting $500k for the game from Tasmanian government which will be lucky to attract 5k to the game.
But come August if you think it’s bad now wait to the double bomb gets dropped on the supporters .

NO!!! Just NO!!!

If we’re serious we have both players in our squad moving forward. They can, and must be playing together to cover for all the downhill skiers and high draft picks we continue to play. WilPhil bleeds for North and does all the defensive acts that have ensured that when he plays we are in games up to our teeth.

WTF am I missing? I have stood by Clarko through thick and thin, however his continual marginalisation of WilPhil baffles me. Our decisions at the selection table continue to be random, inconsistent and just plain awful. Will’s pros far outweigh any limitations.

I can completely understand if Will is distraught this evening. It’s in his nature to take it on the chin and work harder but everyone has their limit. We’re going to lose him, or more to the point succeed in pushing him out and we will regret it.

Phillips omitted.

I am going to burn Arden St to the ground.
Now l have another reason not to watch....Payne wont get a game this week as well. l cant see the club throwing him to the wolves (Brisbane Lions) . If they did then he will end up being shattered mentally..

Logue and Corr were both ****ing awful at VFL level. Like atrociously bad. And they get the call up?!
I’d have retained Dawson on this basis alone.

I don’t give a shit about whether he’s the future or not bringing these frauds straight back in is a nonsense.

Not surprised because when you consider how absolutely woeful the whole midfield was - except for Wardlaw - against Sydney, the Suns and Carlton, and none of them get dropped, you realise they're all untouchable. We have zero standards.

For me, it's not a question whether Darling wants to travel to Tassie, it's more that he doesn't deserve to.

He's been completely ineffectual for more than a month now and we've got to try something different. I'd swap him and Payne to make our forward line smaller and quicker given the conditions.

With Darling named in the 18 and no debut announcement for Payne, I'm not holding my breath.

It's pretty difficult to play two pure midfielders who have low TOG in an era of capped interchanges

Selection so bad this week I genuinely want to write to the club and expressed dissatisfaction.

But it would not achieve anything.

Sigh.

This club has form on that look what they did to sellers last year played him against Geelong at Geelong he never recovered look where he is now.
