Opinion Changes for next week vs Richmond

Potential ins: Jamar, Jones, Cook, Gysberts, Fitzpatrick, Petterd, Tynan, Strauss, Morton, Davis

Potential outs: McDonald (inj.), Spencer, Bate, Bail, Dunn, Tapscott, Magner

You'd expect that they're be a few changes this week, given an overall fairly poor performance.

The two obvious ins are Jones and Jamar - the former tweeted earlier that he was just a bit sore and will be right for next week.

You'd think Tom McDonald would miss, given that he's currently in hospital, which opens the door up for Davis, while Spencer's surely played his last AFL game.

Fitzpatrick was named third-best on ground, so could get a call-up if Jamar's still unfit.

Then there's Cook, Gysberts, Petterd etc. who could potentially come up for some others who might get dropped - thinking Bate, Bail and Tapscott mostly.

Coughing up blood and playing next week dont seem like a likely combo so Davis will most likely come in.

Could upgrade one of the Rookie KP like Sheahan or Williams to play as a Key Forward but as they are cooks age it is highly unlikely.

Hopefully Jetta gets back before seasons end

Don't bring in a backman for McDonald - return Garland or Rivers to defence and bring in someone to play forward.

Jones is a straight swap for Bate - easy. If Jamar is fit, same goes for Spencer.

Petterd has that x-factor and hunger in his game to e the perfect sub next week. No need to replace McDonald with Davis with Rivers up forward.

For the rest of the year I think we need to play all of Tapscott, Blease, Gysberts and Strauss. They were all top 20 picks and now in their 3rd or 4th years at the club but only Tappy has played 20 games and he seems as he is in and out of the side, Blease only comes in as a late inclusion and then as a sub he needs to play full games, I know Gys and Strauss have been injured but they are back now so get them in the seniors. These are the guys that are going to help take us forward, they aren't 18 anymore, get them some experience ASAP and ready for next year.

Sadly, Joel Macdonald was one of our better players. Tom McDonald is staying in Brisbane until he recovers, so don't think he'll play next week.

Tynan or Strauss as an emergency, to come in when one player pulls out just before the first bounce.

Agree with this. If we're really talking about players being 'versatile' then I think we have to return a defender from the forward line, at least for the time being.
I'd be thinking about bringing Petterd in, although have no idea how he's gone at VFL level. Could be a good chance for him to work his way back into the side, however.

I'd send Rivers down back he holds our back line I believe, Garland and Martin in the forward with Jamar and Martin swapping for breaks.

yeh I'm not sure what the go with Magner is right now, I still think he is busting his gut every week so I'm happy for him to stay in the team, but it seems he is being played a lot in the forward line, and not so much in the midfield at the moment, perhaps they are managing his workloads because its his first year in the AFL

Magner is playing forward heaps, but it just too short but without the pace to play that role. He uses his body well but is taking a battering for little result.

Couch went back on the rookie list, be very surprised if he gets promoted now.

Don't see the point of Magner and Bail playing forward when we have blokes like Petterd, Dunn, Bate, who are all much better overhead than these guys. Hell I'd even like to see Morton get a run in the forward line. At the moment it is the most impotent area in our side without Clark.

Get Watts up forward, send Rivers down back where he is most effective. Jamar and Martin can rotate there, anyone but Spencer

Not the best review all up... Fitzpatrick seems to have been strong but it was pretty thin on the ground after that. Just going off what's written there, Gysberts is still finding touch, as is Strauss, and players like Morton, Petterd and co need to pull their fingers out. Not a lot of selection pressure coming from Casey.

Whats the chances of Couch getting a run? I seriously can't believe he hasn't played for you guys yet. Mature body, accumulator and he reasonably nice skills. Coming off the rookie list shouldn't be a problem because Clark is out for the rest of the year.

Also fellas any news on Moloney's contract status?
