OUT: Stiffy (inj :(), Macca (inj)/Cook (omit), Burton (omit)
IN: Dangerfield, Knights, Walker

Griffin probably deserves a recall too but Stevens still has a gold pass so isn't likely to get dropped any time soon.

EDIT: might be a bit too attacking so possibly Will Young instead of Walker

Out: Johncock, McLeod (inj.), Burton (omit)
In: Armstrong (to replace Macca), Walker/Young, Knights

How far away are Mackay and Danger?

A real shame about McLeod (Stiffy as well) but he's in doubt for next week and I really want him to make it to 350. Hopefully he can play on for another year, he has been one of our shining lights this year.

What I would do:
OUT: Macca (inj), Stiffy (inj), Burton (omit)
IN: Danger, Tex, Knights (if available, otherwise Armstrong or someone else)

What will probably happen:
OUT: Macca, Stiffy
IN: Danger, Armstrong

EDIT: How far is Hendo away? Wasn't his hammy only a mild one?

Out - Macca (inj), Stiffy (inj), Birdman (omitted)

In - Walker, Danger and Young or Armstrong

My Team

B Doughty Rutten Davis
HB Goodwin Bock Schmidt
C Edwards Vince Radar
HF Douglas Tippett Petrenko
F Porplyzia Walker Dangerfield
IR Maric Thompson Van Berlo
Int Stevens, Cook, Jaensch, Young or Armstrong

Knights, I would not rush back as I dont want a Croad type of injury
Sloane, needs another gallop in the sanfl

Outs: Mcleod (inj), Johncock (inj), Burton, Cook

Inns: Sloane, Dangerfield/Armstrong, Walker, Young

Here's a few other players that might come into consideration:
Jack Gunston - continued his improving form with Centrals by kicking 5 goals
Shaun McKernan - showing signs of improvement, kicked 2 goals
Jonathon Griffin - continuing his good SANFL form

I like your guys optimism on Burton being dropped :) but would it really happen?
*fingers crossed though* haha

There is no way Burton will be getting dropped, Neil asked him to play on this year he wont then turn around and condemn Burton to playing for WWT. Even if he is struggling we will carry him.

Guys just a heads up that we went in unchanged for the first time this year and it yielded results.

Omitions unless someone is really needed are over the top when you consider our injury list at present.

Injured players will come out. Hard to see an omision.

a win is a win however we need to be careful that we are not simply putting wallpaper over cracks, our first half was awful and it could be argued that if we played a half quality side we would have been dusted by half time

I understand what you are saying however there comes a time when you need to reward form and get better players back in the side

we still had way too many passengers tonight including Burton, Cook and Stevens while Petrenko, Schmidt and Jaensch all played in patches

With Walker and Young all in good form and Knights and Danger possibly returning from injury why not take the opportunity to improve the side

OUT: Johncock, Cook, Burton,
IN: Sloane, Walker, Dangerfield
Armstrong IN if McLeod not fit.

with Johncock out, send Petrenko down back to his true position. Sloane in for Cook as Cook's form has been asking to be dropped week in week out. Walker in for Burton, as Burton's performance of 1 tackle, at least 3 scoring shots for 2 behinds and 1 not even making the distance is pathetic for a forward. Dangerfield IN.

...why are people calling for the inclusion of Young? our defence is already decimated with Johncock's injury and very inexperienced with the likes of Davis, Schmidt and Jaensch in there... we don't really need Young there right now.

IIRC Mackay was said to be more likely available for round 9, than round 8. also, Knights is indefinite, so i don't see him returning any time soon, and especially not via AFL. Hendo will return via the SANFL when fit.

you do realise it was Richmond that we won against...2010 wooden spooners, who rolled over and died in that last quarter? even if we changed our lineup slightly, we still would've won. we didn't yield the result because we went unchanged. i agree with Sloane Ranger, and i think the reason why we are doing so poorly is because we still have too many passengers. Schmidt has been ok, but Cook has been getting progressively worse, while Petrenko pops up and plays every 3 to 4 games. Jaensch would not normally get games, and is only being played because we have injuries. you look at some of the contributions of these younger players and even some of the older players like Stevens, Burton and sometimes Doughty, and i think to myself, if Walker had played a single game as poorly as they have, he would be dropped the following week.

...the Walker/Burton debate. i doubt Craig will drop Burton, but i don't see his reasoning. if Walker had played as poorly as Burton has in these past 2 weeks, Craigy would drop him so fast back to the SANFL, yet Burton will continue to be given his free games and for what contributions
past 2 games:- 0 goals (missed some sitters too), 3 tackles, and not to mention Burton's shots on goal, which either don't make the distance or are out of bounds on the full.

In: Walker, Sloane
Out: Burton (omit), Johncock (inj)
Won't happen, sorry. I agree Burton shouldn't be still in the team, but there is no way he will be getting dropped anytime soon. It is not as if he isn't getting enough ball, which is why I can't see him at WWT. And people are seemingly forgetting Danger will be available this week.... It will be Danger in, Stiffy out.

Likely....maybe not Burton, but Christ I feel so uneasy when he has it.

EDIT: Forgot Danger. He will come in.

We have a lot of guy coming back between now and 6 weeks time. Will be interesting how the process goes.

Neil Craig said:
We’ve got some guys hopefully that are starting to come back. Tony Armstrong was an emergency for us and we’ve still got Taylor Walker and Will Young, so we might have to do some shuffling

that line gives me the impression of Walker in, Petrenko backline

if not, Armstrong will come in, UNLESS, Dangerfield comes in and Jaensch gets more gametime

who knows
im too smart for my own good :D

This from the horses mouth:

“Our challenge is to try and get back to a healthy squad again, physically healthy, but losing two players tonight and two very experienced players, who have been in pretty good form for us (doesn’t help),” Craig said after the game.

“We’ve got some guys hopefully that are starting to come back. Tony Armstrong was an emergency for us and we’ve still got Taylor Walker and Will Young (to choose from), so we might have to do some shuffling.”

That back 6 is too slow for the Roo's forward 6. Petrenko has to go back to take Thomas. Rutten can take Hale and Davis can take Warren. As a result Birdman stays, BUT MUST STSAY OUTSIDE THE 50! Stevens has to be omitted as he is just not right at the moment.

Out: Stiffy, Macca (inj), Stevens (omit)
In: Dangerfield, Armstrong, Walker

This wont happen but I can only hope :)

OUT: Stiffy (shoulder), Stevens (slow and not offering much), Burton (passed it), Cook (needs a rest, must learn to stick taclkes)

IN: Walker (strong bodied leading FF, must play as a Full Forward), McKernan (comes into team replacing stevo and used as 2nd ruck plus can go back or forward if needed), Danger (the machine must play, covers Cook), Sloane (cover for Stiffy and can rotate in midfield)

Who goes out will depend on who can come in

Dangerfield,Hendo and Knights would be walk up starts. We will have to replace Stiffy so maybe Petrenko goes back ???

So for me only one change unless Sellar is fit and/or if McKernan is ready.

Wouldn't say Hendo is a walk-up start yet would we?

Sounds like Stiffy and Macca are a chance to play with no serious issues as yet.
