I'll refine the bar for you then. If we were to rank all the rucks in the league, Lycett would be bottom four. Griggs is on par with Lycett.

Which of Hickey, Longer, Marshall, Stanley, Smith, Abbott, Mcinerney, Lobbe, Phillips, Leuenberger, Nicholls, Simpson, Ceglar, Goldstein, Preuss, Daw, Frampton, Soldo, Cameron, Campbell, Roughead and Redpath do you put above him?

Actually, means I can go camping that weekend and not miss the game.
A positive spin. :D

Plus hard for the Pies players to recover in time - namely Treloar.

Well, that's why Port and StK are supposed to be offering big money, because that's what I'd do, offer big money for a bottom 4 ruck.
I don't believe he's a top ruckman, but.......

I don't understand how these two clubs seem to be the ones in line for Lycett. They have already been burned and you'would think they would target players that have runs on the board.

Not that I think he's a bottom 4 ruck but I don't think you can point to Port and St Kilda's recruiting policies to make your point. Saints have just about the worst list in the league and Port spent all of last off season spending a heap of money on a bunch of mediocre spuds that made them worse.

Don't St Kilda and Port have a surplus of rucks? They love recruiting rucks who can't play AFL. Ruck graveyard clubs.

How many of their respective surpluses of rucks are above Lycett, in your estimation?

But they're all better than Lycett? Or do they share the 3 rucks who are bottom 4 with Lycett?

None of them are any good and Lycett will just add to the graveyard. But they aren't requesting to ride the money gravy train like Lycett is. The salary and tenure that Lycett is requesting is akin to Naitanui and Cox contracts. Need to let this bird fly.

The Barrass out calls are a bit shit. Sure, he isn't perfect - he gets exposed a bit 1v1 at times, but I haven't seen many stand up and clunk towering grabs in a crowd like this guy does. And he does it with regularity. Nothing stops a forward push like a chunky clunk. Get some clunk in ya trunk muthafuks!

Can you actually name any of them?

Who are Port's surplus of rucks?

Out- Barass/Duggan (unlucky)
Lecras (another low output )
In - JK
Jetta
Put Schofield on DeGoey.
Barass is looking too slow at times and playing either too much in front or back of the opponent instead of manning up. If man mountain Cox play then add Barass in and take out Duggan.
O Allen adds more versatility to the team (very composed for a 2nd gamer) in both forward and defence if needed has shown against the Lions... should persevere with him and see how he goes in a finals...think we got a gem here.

Do we need 2 guys that do that though?

Simmo said in his presser Kennedy and Jetta are 100% for the first final.

Allen the obvious out for JK, super excited by his game today though and genuinley believe we will end up with the steal of the draft.

Who goes out for jetta is a tough call. Thought all 3 tall defenders were excellent today. MC won’t do it and not that vardy was poor, but I’d almost play slyce lone ruck and drop vards tbh, one of the tall defenders can chop out

In: Jk, Jets
Out: Shred, Allen

Feel like Schofield is class and has added to the team a lot since he's come back in.
Never thought i'd hear those words about Schoey, was always a B player or B+, never an A player in my mind.
But he's certainly improved. He can taste the finals...!?
JK+Jetts in obviously.
Outs - Oscar, Tom or Schoey...tricky?
Oscar is a potential swingman.. or Waterman back in to feed JK+JD..?

Probably the first time in history Collingwood are travelling twice interstate (and WA too). Wouldn't be surprise Eddie McGuire might put acomplaint in to the AFL.

Relying on Lecca? Oh please. He is cooked.
He's had his run for this year and now he can pass the baton onto someone who is physically up to it. We can't continue this trend of carrying older players through when they aren't up to it.

Is LeGod the player you've decided to hate this week?

Last time we played collingwood schoey did a great job of stopping the pies getting into space over the back . Thats their game , fast rebound players over the back into space using WHE and stephenson

If we have only two talls, that's probably Schofield to Cox and McGovern to Mihocek. Cox didn't play against us last time but he'll need an accountable defender. And McGovern gave Mihocek no respect last time and carved Collingwood up. It worked but with Cox in and Mihocek an improved player, I'm not sure if we'll just be able to roll the dice as aggressively. Then we're also locked into playing Sheppard on JDG, which worked well enough last time. There's no plan B in that. So I think there's an argument for having Schofield on Cox, Barrass on Mihocek. That frees up McGovern to pick off attacks. And if JDG threatens to tear us a new arseh*le, we have the flexibility to change things around.

A very Deadpool explication.

Gov is one of our key weapons but can be an achilles as teams have worked out how to play medium forwards on him.

Will be a ripper
