Get up, it’s game week!
Just heard a Pies supporter on SEN call in to say that if Goldsack (lockdown KPD), Howe (Intercepter) and Moore (Pies best athlete - his words) all play then the Pies easily win. He said that the forward line and midfield are hitting their straps and these three blokes will hold our potent forward line.
Now, I for one would be ecstatic if this eventuates. Howe will come back, but the other two are a massive punt from them. Selection night on Thursday is going to be very interesting to see who is name in the their 26.

So glad the bye is behind us and it is back to a 'normal' footy week!
Goldsack had his left knee reconstructed in March. Unless Collingwood wants to end his career this Saturday, otherwise he should not play competitive final this season at all.

Jay Clark has had a personal vendetta against us all season. Have a listen to the Superfooty/Herald Sun podcast for Round 9 after we flogged the living daylights out of Richmond. Said that he wasn't convinced by us and that we beat up on teams at home, and any Vic team would be licking their lips if they were to play us in a Grand Final

He is on a podcast with pendles so he loves him and the pies. I'm not sure if he is an actual pies supporter.

It's cringe-worthy isn't it.
I'm paraphrasing here but he said something along the lines of the Dees being flag favourites because if they get there, they will have beaten some very good sides to get there. I nearly spat my coffee on the woman in front of me on the bus.
I was even more shocked at the other knuckleheads who were doing the show with him going 'Oh yeah... Good point Tom, I see what you mean...'
I guess a qualifying final is a free shot given the second chance. Both sides of any qualifying final go in with a certain level of optimism knowing that regardless of the result they are not out of the hunt.
If this were an elim or prelim final at Optus I daresay the mindset of Pies fans would be a lot different.
Never any easy matches in the finals, particularly between 2 teams with a similar percentage at seasons end and would think possibly the Pies would have had an easier run overall having finished outside of the 8 last year. Would think the result would sway our way as Collingwood having to travel West twice in three weeks - well they may go into decline
. Just hope our supporters can bring plenty of noise on the night, as more often than not some of our supporters can be deathly quiet on occasions.
Apart from wanting us to win the big dance because I'm a WCE member, I would love us to take it out just to stuff it up some of those east coast reporters/journalists! Some of them really annoy me and I would love to see the tears.

Trelour - Suffered a serious injury to his hammies. Being that he is a mid and it will be a high intensity game do they risk him?
Howe - He will be fine.
Moore - Injury prone and they might not risk him.
Goldsack - Says he wants to play but with a big AFL final looming with travel i would be surprised he played.
Varcoe - Has come out and said he wants to play. He will be quite emotional considering the loss of his sister.
