In: Porplyzia, Vince, Tippett

Out: Dangerfield (School), Goodwin (Rest/Injury), Basset (Injury)

Your thoughts?

Agree with the ins completly, Dangerfield is a definite out, not quite ready, next year will be his time. Goodwin looked to be struggling a bit today, made some very uncharacteristic mistakes, took a couple of spectacular marks, but then dropped some sitters or just undid his good work with average disposal, would almost agree with giving him a week off, we will need him refreshed for finals. Basset just suffered a bit of cramp, so I don't see him going anywhere. Brent Reilly might be one who gets unlucky, wasn't up to his pre-season standards and really struggled to influence the match, another game with Sturt might be the result, is also a similar player to Vince and atm, Vince is playing much better.

Ins: Porps, Vince, Tippet
Outs: Dangerfield, Reilly(omit), Goodwin (rest)/Johncock(maybe)

In: Vince, Campbell, Porplyzia, Tippett
Out: Dangerfield, Stevens, Goodwin, Douglas

Douglas was very good today, one of the few players capable of taking a ball in one grab and probably got as many tackles as the rest of the team put together.

I do agree that if possible Campbell should be brought back, but I think Mackay and Reilly would be closer to the chopping block that Douglas.

Also, I think Stevens needs to stay due to the flexibility he brings us.

Oh seriously come off it. For once. Douglas fumbled just like the rest of the team today. He wasn't the worst but he has been very average for about 5 weeks now, needs a spell in the SANFL.

Stevens brings rubbish to the table that's all.

Mate, Douglas had one bad fumble, apart from that, whilst his possession count wasn't huge, he was one of our few players trying to create with his disposals and not just chip backwards or sideways. He also had a composure about him which few others had.

Got to be kidding on Douglas, one of the only ones who showed heart today.

Stevo would be unlucky too as he played OK, it's just he wont every be a great player.

Massie was poor today, if any drop, he's prime for it.

In: Vince, Tippett, Porplyzia

Out: Massie, Dangerfield, Goody/Basset(injured?)

OUT: Dangerfield-for Porps, Goodwin (rest)-for Vince,Stevens(would rather drop him than Moran)- for Tippett

agree

I thought Douglas was good today, he used his speed, won some contested ball, ball use was good, not to mention he was one of our few goals scorers

Ah here we go again, la-la land fairies. 13 possessions, new career high for the gun that is Richard Douglas? Accepting mediocrity.

Wait, so you want high possessions and not mediocrity and your solution is to bring in Bryce Campbell?

Spud, how much game time does Douglas get? About 80%. How much does Campbell get? About 55%. Campbell's role has been as a tagger, Douglas' is to win the ball.

Surely you're not that stupid? Or is that a stupid question?

In: Porplyzia, Vince, Tippett
Out: Dangerfield (studies), Goodwin (injured and can't mark, can't kick), Rutten (no suitable match up and lacks the weapons to play forward)

Johncock is skating on very thin ice atm. I'm ****ing sick of his lack of intensity. Trade to Geelong for Stokes???

Douglas at least tried hard out there today and looked to be on of the few players in any sort of form. Too bad he was outnumbered 2 or 3 to 1 at every contest. Likewise Nick Gill.

Mcleod, Edwards, Massie, Douglas and Symes were all ok. Reilly wasn't awful either.

Mate I would prefer Douglas 13 possessions to a lot of our other players 20 odd possessions because they were actually damaging, he successfully took on players and drove us forward. Unlike others who handballed back and forth all day long racking up cheap stats so that their DT and SC scores would be higher. Numbers arn't everything, but then there's no use telling you all this because you've made up your mind Douglas is shit and thats that.

Gee Drummond, it looks like rational thinking is going to win the day this time.

Oh well, you might get lucky and we might play like shit next week too:rolleyes:

Dougy's a forward pocket. 13 possies is about on the mark.
His tackling pressure was good, goal was very good and disposal was good.

Many many palyers below him

As soon as Riewoldt took that grab early in the second quarter, and you could feel the game slipping away, I thought "Hmmm, I bet Drummond will want Douglas dragged this week".

Hey, whaddya know!

Oh my Drummond, are you bitching and moaning again? Their is a familiar ring of last years bitch and moan regarding Pfieffer and Meesen about your blinkered veiw of Campbell, and your inability to see someones talent due to your own personal agenda. I cannot comment on this game as i wont see it for a few days yet. Just search last years posts change the names and you will save those fingers all that work. ;)
