If Shirley keeps his spot and Petrenko loses his, i will go make me some flaming torches and buy some pitchforks. I will then start carefully recruiting people for my angry mob. Only the angriest will be chosen.

If your mob spread to Melbourne I'g get my mob start up kit (it's in one of those smash the glase case things....awesome!) and get involved.

I would like to see in Douglas, Johncock, Armstrong to debut. Out Reilly, Shirley, Petrenko. McKernan to be made an emergancy
Would like to see Armstrong in action ... but Petrenko probably deserves a place ahead of him for now.

Who would Shirley tag? Not Goodes. Kirk? Can you tag a tagger??
Hmmm... who is going to go with Goodes?

Would you hand it over to Andy Otten? Has the size. Big responsibility. And the Swans don't really have a third tall for him to cover. Unless you count Thornton I guess.

Here you go Andy... you said you wanted to play in the midfield. Now show us what you've got.

I just can't see anyone running with Goodes. His engine is enormous and most of his best work is done outside where he is very hard to corral.

Having said that I would love to see AO have a crack.

Grundy, White (Jolly) and Hall will be the talls? Not sure if Micky O counts as a tall.

Waaah!! :(

Does that mean celebrating his 250th in front of 6000 expat Victorians and holiday-makers the following week?

In: Douglas and Johncock
Out: Shirley and Putrenco
Hey I'm going to that game! I will be there to represent the Adelaidian force! Will be cheering for Goody with all my voice, champion.:)

Goodwin's not playing (ten news). I have a bad feeling Shirley will keep his spot :thumbsd::thumbsd::thumbsd:.

What i'd like to see: In - Douglas, Johncock. Out - Shirley, Reilly

Geez, give Shirley a break.

Who do you think it was that kept Adam Simpson to a quiet one on his 300th game?

You guys make him sound like he's Matthew Smith's non red-headed twin.

The club will decide if Shirley plays or not and whichever way they go, I'll back them, because they know what they want the players to do - we don't.

You don't sound angry enough for betterthanu's mob :p

Agreed, did a great job last week, but it was wet and suited his game. If its going to be another wet one, then I think he may play, but Douglas could also be handy.

No Goody, I ammend my OP as follows

IN: Douglas, Johncock

OUT: Reilly (inj), Petrenko

Expect a worthy tall to be on the emergency list, with the club possibly worried about Bock and his court case the day before.

What, he still has to go to court? Thought it would have been thrown out by now, will be a monumental waste of time, at worst he'll have to buy her a new handbag:eek:

I just can't see anyone running with Goodes. His engine is enormous and most of his best work is done outside where he is very hard to corral.

Can't remember who normally takes him (probably Stevens, or maybe Shirley/Doughty), but I am really not sure why anyone's worried about Goodes. Every time we play Sydney there's always a fuss about how we've got "no one" to take him and yet every time we play Sydney he's completely useless. Craigy knows how to handle Goodes.

Good point. Their forward line is probably a little taller than I give them credit for.

With Bolton out though Grundy has been played down back. Pretty well too from what I've seen of him. Is Bolton back this week? Would be very handy if he isn't.

Jesse White was the one I forgot... Jolly no longer flying solo. White's actually pulled down a few useful grabs and looks a prospect. Might need to play Otten on Micky O after all.

Van Berlo for Goodes?

Agree. Against a team such as Sydney I think we could probably do with a tough, seasoned body such as Shirley's, as much as I'd love to have Petrenko in, I think Shirley would be the better choice. Having said that, the way NC has been coaching this year, I'm not going to be surprised if Petrenko gets the gig.

This is the hearing where they will decide whether to throw it out or not.

I hope Shirley is in because I want to see the mobs with flaming torches and pitchforks.
He will play if there is a role for him and he won't if there ain't. Don't write Shirley off yet. At worst he will play some games depending on who we decide to tag in those games if we decide to tag anyone. I expect him to play against Geelong for example.
The beauty of our depth is that we have options against various sides.

if Goodwin dosnt come up my changes would be
in: Johncock, Douglas, Armstrong
Out: Riley (inj), Shirley, Petrenko
Armstrong was gonna play against Nth but came down with the flu so i could see him getting a game this week since none of the 3 players that came in last week were overly impressive and would prolly be a good time to debut another player

Armstrong wasn't going to play against North - until all three of Goody, Douglas and Johncock fell over. He was probably the third emergency (behind Reilly & Petrenko) that week. He MAY have been ahead of Shirley, then again, he may not have been.

Note that Reilly wasn't technically an emergency, as he came in directly for Goodwin. Even so, it took 3 omissions for Armstrong to be considered.
