Hahahahaha, by God I love the man..... but he is done!

Yeh would have to agree.... was hoping Hugh could run with Dusty, left field and could work
He could match him at stoppage but zero chance of running with anyone atm, let alone Dusty! Maybe next year after another pre season.

If we want a mid to 'cool' Dusty it would have to be Sloane or B Crouch, they are the only ones with the attributes.

B: Rance, Astbury, Grimes
HB: Houli, McIntosh, B. Ellis
C: Prestia, Edwards, Vlastuin
HF: Cotchin, Rioli, Townsend
F: Riewoldt, Lambert, Butler
R: Nankervis, Grigg, Martin
IC: Broad, Castagna, Caddy, Graham

We have Jacobs, Talia, Hartigan, Lever, Walker, Jenkins, Lynch and Otten as talls.

They have Nankervis, Rance, Astbury, Grimes and Riewoldt.

There's a decent chance we don't play Otten.

I wouldn't really count Lynch as a tall.
Just versatile.
I think it's Richmond who should be worried about their lack of talls...not us worried about too many.

- Talia will stitch up Riewoldt
- Hartigan is quick enough to a play on smalls.
- Lever play the unregistered dog role.

Forward line is fine, with Otten's aerial strength holding Rance to account. I wouldn't want to change our dynamic

I think at this time of the year they wont roll the dice and take a risk. I think given Jenkins and Lynch are fairly mobile, the liability to "carry" Otten to maintain our structure is less of a risk.

If Thor doesn't get up.... how do we feel about milera in cc's forward pocket role and cc in the middle?

Yep I can't see us changing a winning side and weakening a potential strength on the concern of Richmond not having many talls.

Win the ball and pump our forwards and they will struggle.

I would like to know from those that follow the SANFL, what Milera's form has been like, coupled with Hampton and even Menzel.

Either of those 3, would cause issues for Richmond if they play one of their best games for us or anywhere near it.

The GF will be determined by our bottom 6-8 players.

Hampton and Menzel seem to have had lines drawn through their names, for the moment. Milera: well, we know that we won't be getting finals pressure from him.

I think Milera and Keath were our best in the gws trial game.

My line of thinking was maintaining midfield pressure with cc if we lose Thor, rather than have Milera in the midfield (who lacks a bit of the contested stuff needed in finals).

I think milera is quite dangerous up forward.

Otherwise, I guess it's Hampton... massive risk though.

No for milera. Greenwood will get up along with gov. Otten wont play regardless though i feel. He will be a big liability on the 'g as was evident against collingwood. If either greenwood or gov doesn't play, it would be hampton instead of otten one feels. Sentiment doesn't win flags.

At least with McGovern he has no next week so he can throw everything he has at tomorrows training session to see how the hammy goes. If it pings or pulls up sore then so be it, it wont affect his preseason. If it pulls up fine after going 100% then he should be right to go. Any other week in the year he doesn't have that option of risking further damage.

Unless Gov is fit, there will be no unforced changes. There is no need to change a thing. We've just won two finals easily. Otten played his role Friday and had a key couple of moments resulting in goals.

Hampton and Menzel - no way will they be used. No chance. Zero.

Our emergencies for the finals comprehensively show that the only players in line for any forced chances are Milera, Keath and O'Brien.

I think Gov going full bore at training tomorrow will be good for his mental health. If he misses, don't want him thinking he didn't give it absolutely everything.

Who's going to AO on Wednesday morning to check out Gov? Tex seemed pretty positive of his chances this morning on Triple M. If he goes hard and gets through we should play him.

Thor hasn't really contributed for a little while, so I'm not sure he would be a huge loss should he not get up. Reckon he will though, or it opens the door for Hampton IMO.

Hopefully Gov goes flat out tomorrow and pulls up well Thursday, if he falters in any way he doesn't get back in.
