SEN just mentioned that Greenwood may be in doubt, but it is SEN, so I wouldn't place much weight on it.

Traveling emergencies will be fascinating.

If Greenwood isnt playing I hope we dont state this till 1hr before the game. Need to keep an ace up the sleeve.

Its disappointing that some posters are more interested in trolling than enjoying and relishing every moment of this week?

I hope youre happy too Kane McGoodwin
Amazing you are still carrying on like a broken record after several days because I corrected your incorrect post.

Time to build a bridge...

It's grand final week & you should be happy. :)

Was thinking earlier today about Rendell's influence on this current squad. He was here for five drafts, and has been gone for five drafts now. That means his crop of recruits would be in that crucial 23-29 age range that you would typically associate with successful premiership sides.

This weekend, the only players drafted by Rendell playing in the GF will be Otten (maybe), Sloane, Talia, Laird, and Brad Crouch (who was really more of a trade than a drafted player). That's it. I would have sworn there would be more. Smith out injured would have been another. I'm excluding Walker who was really scholarship-listed under Fantasia's reign.

I don't really have a point with this post, just thought it was interesting. I guess it goes to show how much we've relied on trades and Hamish's recruits.

I think trade is a significant part of recruiting and with the trades in Rendall’s time hre that number is significantly higher. Brown, Lynch, Jenkins etc...

So Milera and O'Brien travelled with the 22 from last week but Hugh is said to be good to go:

ADELAIDE midfielder Hugh Greenwood has travelled with the Crows' 25-man squad to Melbourne ahead of Saturday's Grand Final against Richmond.

Greenwood has a sore calf, but he was with the Crows when they departed Adelaide Airport on Thursday afternoon.

"He got through training yesterday, so we expect him to play," Crows assistant coach Scott Camporeale said.

"He's fine, he got through training yesterday, he ticked all the boxes."

Midfielder/forward Wayne Milera and ruckman Reilly O'Brien also made the trip to Melbourne but aren't expected to play, with the Crows set to stick with the side that beat Geelong in the preliminary final last Friday night.

"We've got a body of evidence with the team that we played, particularly in the last month, which would suggest that that's the right mix for us, but we'll finalise that this afternoon," Camporeale said.....

Who is the 3rd emergency?

Maybe talk some more about moments & matchups in games that didn’t happen
Sounds soooo much like you singing "Daaaaiiiiisy ..... Deeerrrrrsy .... " *fading out*
and here's why:
We bantered  at some length in the QF post-game thread about that QF Jenkins' goal which you said was a 'seagull'. (Lynch handball to Gov, kicks forward to Eddie, handball to JJ who's sprinted down from past centre) Remember that? :) Vhaluus commented that my description was 100% correct.
Now you're saying it "didn't happen".

You're unravelling, sanders. Your repetitive, tiresome technique of saying "it didn't happen", to rewrite history to suit your negative agenda is exposed again as bullshit.
P.S. the other goal/moment "happened" too --- last quarter, 17:45 to play, AFC PF highlights.

If Greenwood was in doubt, you'd think Hampton would be a travelling emergency over Milera

Take care champ. All the best, try and enjoy the game. We made the grand final. :)

You care way too much for an anonymous forum. Waiting patiently for your reply because you badly need to have the final say.:rainbow:

Once again you seem to be aspiring to some kind of status?

Ironic that you tagged me in after several days. Your post was effectively quoting yourself. Just think about it.

You really have a problem with me picking up an error in your post & been whinging ever since. It's not like your the 1st person this has happened to as it happens regularly... If you can't handle it, suggest you stop posting.

Any way, this is my last post on the matter & not fussed if you have the last say on th as honestly don't care... but if you tag me in again way down the track, expect a response!

True.

Here's something I hope they don't change:
If we mark the ball they can't do shit
This seems like a minor throwaway line, but it's actually a really good point.:thumbsu:

Last week, the Crows showed more composure than I'd seen for a long time, maybe ever. if Geelong set up a zone, our backs chipped the ball around hitting blokes on the chest until a way was found through it. Even then, our link-up delivery and passing to forwards was outstanding, well, with a couple of miskicks/turnovers but even when that happened our pressure forced turnovers for regained possession.
It was beautiful to watch and reminded me of Hawthorn at their best.

TexforPM is spot-on. Our kicking efficiency helps us to slice through oppositions because they can't tackle a Crow that has marked the ball. It makes for fewer stoppages as well, so that Geelong couldn't clog us up. The other Crow weapon is the fast breakaway from the defensive 50 where our run and spread to provide options is second to none.
""NOBODY expects the Crows Inquisition! Our chief weapon is surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise.... Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency.... Our *three* weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the TEAM .... Our *four*...no... *Amongst* our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as .... ."" :)

In the first quarter of the GF, I'll be looking for the same attack on the ball and ball carrier, the same offensive pressure in our forward 50, the same composure and kicking efficiency as in the QF and PF. We'll know in the first 10-15 minutes if they're switched on and if they are, sit back and enjoy!
