Message is that we would be ruthless but we can't afford to be given injuries. Whatever.

On availability, though - given Sunday came after Saturday night, wouldn't it have been a good idea to rest some fringe senior players from the VFL game so they could play this week?

Honest question though... Changes DO need to be made for those underperforming. But is against Hawthorn really the time to do it?

I mean, some of the 2s guys form has been decent, but a lot of its from guys who have never played an AFL game, and we haven't exactly had the best history of debutants having cracking first games, even LMac was so so in his first and he's the great white (silver) hope.

If we bring in 2 or even 3 of these guys isn't it just asking for a thumping? And if we did get thumped then people would STILL be unhappy with the coach/selection panel/players and it would just go round in circles again for another week.

According to jay Clark on Twitter jz to miss with his knee but brad going to back in the players again as injurie list has made him

A lot of the consideration on here at the moment seems governed more by who needs out rather than who should come in. For mine, players like Adams and Bastinac probably retain their spots for at least this week for mostly this reason, but I don't see the harm in taking out, say, McKenzie, and replacing him with a debutant. The argument for change is, I suppose, that even as green as they are, they'd offer more than those who look like needing to be removed from the side. Probably makes more sense to try a few things against the Saints than tomorrow night - but then, complacency seems to be a problem at the moment, and I'd hate to think we'd take the Saints lightly, selecting an experimental team and thinking victory is assured so long as we turn up to the ground. Certainly, it's important that people remember we're 7th, still poised to take a finals berth and potentially a home final, not 15th and already in "next season" mode.

Unbelievable. I cant believe who the selection committee have picked to come in this week, the same old guys who havent got it done all year.

Our club is an absolute joke.
