Poholke.Kelly out for Talia then.
Who's out for Bradley?
Our selections have generally been worse for games we see as winnable. This then usually translates to a complacent and lazy effort in the match itself.
Surely there's no point rushing Talia back. Hawthorn don't have a standout key forward, and Talia coming back makes us slow down back.
Not keen about going back to Crouch x2 and a completely cooked Sloane in the middle either.
I'm more interested in getting more games into McPherson, Hamill and McHenry, as well as giving Worrell a couple of games before the year ends.
A supposed winnable game and the old instincts kick in. If anything we need to be playing an even younger side. If we win with that then there is something to truly celebrate and tbh we are more likely to win. BCrouch will be underdone and Talia slows us down in defence. Give Talia a rest, keep Butts, Hartigan and bring in McPherson for Kelly. Hamill for Mackay. Worrell for Walker. O'Connor for Poholke. By playing Worrell we would be covered if Butts or Hartigan went down as he could be swung down back leaving Berg and Fog up forward. The only reason to play Brad is to prove to suitors that he is over his injury and worthy of a deal that will gain us band 1. Sounds like Brad may not be getting the interest we had hoped for. All set up for Mitchell Lewis to have a break out game ??
Butts is an out rib injury.

He won’t, Nicks said last week Kelly only played because Talia was out. Basically, they see him as backup to Talia now. Given Chapman said there will be more debuts before the end of the season, I reckon Worrell is coming in.Looks like Kelly gets yet another reprieve.

Nicks has been quite honest about selection this season and was very specific about Kelly’s selection last week, so would be surprised if he backtracked on this in the space of a week.I hope you're right. Worrell was the draftee I was most excited about last year.
Would be very surprised if that was the case, think they learnt their lesson after the Kangaroos debacle...I wonder if the selectors see this - like the North Melbourne game - as their chance for a win and so go for experience again...or have they learned their lesson and/or swallowed their pride?

Ah damn, that doesn’t sound promising then. If we can just keep Kelly away from kicking the ball like last week then at least we minimize his negative impact on the play...At 2:28 in his presser, Nicks mentions only the one change down back, with Talia coming in for Butts.
Well, it was the same names against Geelong except for Butts over Talia, and Geelong are a significantly better forward line. How could it be worse?A defence of Talia, Hartigan, Kelly, Mackay and Brown?
Mark it down as a loss
