Murray & we stupidly go in too small again!
Given they've mentioned he's been taken for AFL duties I think he'll be in.

Worrell is your ideal type for a sub, very versatile..... I'd just rather they didn't.

This is true.

It's more than that though. Brown appears to be an ongoing management thing so it's likely he's out for a week then back in. Id rather the kid get and stay in his spot.

Mackay in for 1 week and out the next is preferable

Ask Worrell if that's what he'd prefer, I think you know the answer. Plus, if Briwn comes back but then McPherson misses, Mackay stays again. There's always an excuse found when we play Mackay. This week you're going with Worrell would be better, but it might just be 1 game, so I prefer Mackay. You're always totally against it until you rationalise a way to support the selectors.

Personally I'd drop McPherson too given the form he's in, which then does allow Worrell to play and establish himself.

My final changes:

Out: Hamill (inj), Brown (inj), Lynch, McPherson, Rowe
In: Murray, Mackay, Worrell, Berry

Kelly, Butts, Doedee
Mackay, Murray, Smith
Sholl, Keays, Seedsman
McHenry, Walker, Schoenberg
Himmelberg, Thilthorpe, Murphy
ROB, Laird, Hately
Berry, Worrell, Fogarty, McAdam

Sub: McPherson

I think the small defence was fine when we had strong defensive pressure. No lace out passes. Slow high balls to packs more easy to spoil then we pounce on the loose ball.

However we don’t have that any more. Fogarty replaced a midfielder, and Sloane and Berry our two best defenders in the midfield out. McAdam carrying an injury. Now Hamill injured too. So more quick movement to opposition F50 one-on-ones and our mid size defenders are exposed.

Not much option but to add the 2nd tall defender IMO.

Looks like Berry back in this week and Luke Brown may be out along with Hamill according to channel 9 news.

Poor Browny...

Mackay: "Hey Luke, real shame about that injury"

Brown: "Injury?"

Mackay: "Yeah, looks nasty"

Brown: "I feel fine" *starts doing jumping jacks*

Mackay: "Looks like I'm back in the team this week"

Brown: "What are you talking about, David?"

Mackay: *slowly pulls an old polaroid out of his sock*

Brown: "Shit..." *starts walking to the change rooms with shoulders hunched over*

Kelly has been obliterated by Heeney in the past. I can't see him going well against Greene.
Heeney is a very different player to Green, much faster and very strong overhead with a great leap. Doedee is a better match for him.

Greene, Martin JDG are the types Kelly is best suited for IMO.

Then you lose Doedee as a floating defender - I do agree Kelly on Greene scares me - but I wonder if having Doedee loose is better than Kelly playing the loose man?

Edit: ah I see you meant Heeney v Doods

Greene could literally kick thirteen on us.

Sunny dry day on Saturday arvo.

Perfect conditions. No wind.
