So Roberton is in the backline AND has been dropped?

Dunno who's gonna come out besides Sandi & McPharlin but..

In:
Griffin
Grover
Mzungu
Barlow
Ballantyne (possibly?)

Could even give Ballas another week to recover and then he could get a half game with Peel the following week when we have the bye.

Play Clarke as a Ruckman. He's actually pretty good at it!
Play Pav as a forward. He's not shabby down there.
Play Palmer as midfielder!
Bring back Groves, Balla, Barlow, give Duke Mellington another game and do what you like with the rest!

Whoever said drop Mellington has absolutely no idea. Had a very good first up game, and added some pressure up forward. I'd be dropping Hinkley and Pearce before him.

Out: Sandi, Mcpharlin, Hinkley

In: Barlow, Mzungu, Griffen

No need to risk Grover or Ballantyne

I would not underestimate GC. They certainly gave WCE a good run for their money. This game is no shoe-in IMO.

Now now E..... That is way to logical (injury permitting of course) for this board and the selection panel :p

On a serious note I like it.... But who is out? Sandi, Luke and Hinkley for the above three but who gets dropped for Mzungu or does he get an extra break?

Out: Sandi, Mcpharlin

In: Mzungu, Griffen

I don't see the point in bringing back Balla or Barlow when the next round is a bye. Let them recover, games in the WAFL at best to bring them back slowly.

I felt we rushed Barlow, as much as he had a great game etc, if it is indeed soreness it showed to me he was slightly undercooked.

Before making any unforced changes, I'd like to know who is available to come back in.

Other than Sandi and Elvis, the only player who would be moved is Hinkley. Impressed with "fringe" players Mellington and Clancee.

So I'd add Griffen Barlow & Grover / Mzungu.

Good point re: Mellington, but then you nullify it by saying we'll drop the guy who kicked 2 goals for us.

What about Grover? With McPharlin going down SNOS is gonna need a hand.

I would drop Roberton, I have been really disappointed in the kid this year, I think Kep is injured the way he moved last night.

I thought Harvey or someone said last night that Barlow will not play till after the bye.

For this weeks game I agree with you.

I actually liked our mobility when Sandi went off for Hayden and Clarke and Kepler took over in the ruck.

Leave Griffin for another week to fully recover

In - Griffin Out Sandilands

In - Mzunga Out Mcpharlin

In - Barlow if available out Hinkley

In - Ballatyne if available out - Pearce

In - Grover if available out - Roberton

I wouldnt take Gold Coast lightly.

Drop Pearce? Thought he played OK. Been pretty decent since he came back IMO.

Hinkley's an interesting one. I'm almost convinced he just doesn't have it. But he gets enough of it and given the option is someone like Crichton, who just doesn't get the ball in the first place, i'd rather take the punt with Hinkley and hope that with more experience his decision making improves.

.

Im hoping you mean we wouldnt take them lightly.

Gold Coast are clearance machines, and judging by last nights effort, I doubt we will get a centre clearance.

Some people are being a bit harsh on Hinkley in my humble opinion. 15 disposals, 5 tackles and 2 goals is a good game in anyone's book. Not only that, but according to Champion Data he was our 5th best player last night.

As long as guys like Hinkley, Mellington and Pearce are performing, then I don't necessarily see the need to rush guys back. I'd be holding Barlow and Ballantyne back until after the bye, because we're really going to need them later in the season.

I simply cannot think we are in a position to take any games lightly. We need to up the professionalism and learn to be 100% tuned in on any match-day. Give them a hiding, win by a point, or get beaten by a better team. It isn't like last year where we rest half the team for a match going into the finals; we have too much at stake.

dont know why anyone would want to drop hinkley. he kicked goals, got the footy and other than his kick out of bounds on the wing, he was great. people a blinded by their hatred of him. he has speed, and good hands. give the guy a fair go

I know Hinkley is not going to get a game when we are back close to full strength but to drop him after last nights game for Mzungu who has been handy but not outstanding seems a little strange. Let Mzungu fight his way back into the side.

Hinkley was fine, the guy I would drop is Roberton for Mzungu, if Mzungu is fit. Griffin for Sandi, if Griff is fit, Grover for Mcpharlin, again if Grover is fit.

Sh#t, these f%@king injuries, is this just a nightmare? someone please wake me up!

No it's real.

What if Balla is fit?
