I'm a huge Davidson fan but struggled for the first 3 quarters yesterday and was on rhe bubble of selection to start the season. Ran his guts out and had a good finish to the game so may have saved his spot, and is important to structure.

Hynes has been quiet to start the season and is playing a very difficult HFF role we have seen many struggle with in the past, so no knock on him

Treloar looks ready to return and has gotten some match fitness under his back, still will get a running session in next weekend during the bye also. Dolan is healthy again and looks great in the VFL, but Arty did nothing wrong to come out of the team initially and may be "next man up" again in selection.

Yep seems to still be on limited minutes and a slow build up which is smart. Arty and Dolan it is for me then.

Disagree on Hynes and Davidson - they're good foil for Freijah and Williams as similar style players having a bit of freedom and Bevo being able to move the magnets.

Does say a lot for all the melts in picking him up that had we taken the SSP to the MS draft or taken someone else we would be lamenting the fact we could have picked up Lewis for free with 11 goals in his last 2 VFL games, but didn't.

Croft was not great but he should stay in as he is very handy chop out for English in the ruck. Once again, I don’t want to see Darcy in the centre square chopping out English. He is too important in the goal square.

Dolan for Hynes for me. I've been a bit disappointed in Hynes lack of attack on the man and ball. I get that he's learning to play a difficult position: half forward/forward pocket, but he's a bit of a ball watcher and needs a run in the VFL midfield to get himself more involved.
Treloar for Davidson after one more VFL game.

Just stick Davidson on the wing and let him stay there. He has the running capacity and can compete in the air against other wingers.

Would like to see Davidson stay at AFL but he looks out of position up forward, needs more game time on wing which is his best position.

Hard as to make calls for a team that is winning, and playing well together. But with Treloar and Weightman also set to return at some point in the weeks ahead. There will be more tough calls.

Dolan looked good in the VFL. Found a lot of the ball, and hit the scoreboard three times, which is two areas he struggled in last year. Just needs to stick a couple of tackles, had zero today. In the frame if he can back that effort up consistently.

I am aware of his long term prognosis. I was just making a point, that if there are any changes for the next game. Someone will be stiff to miss out. That's the downside to a team with depth, and everyone playing their roles well. Won't be the only time some hard calls are made this season.

Would like to have Arty and Dolan in the team. It's a bit hard on Hynes and Davidson, but they are more natural towards. Hynes can develop better playing mid at VFL for a bit.

It's also hard to believe that Adz isn't an upgrade on someone. Bur that'd have to be a really hard decision to drop someone like Bramble or Sanders which really isn't fair either.

Agree, even listening to Jaques (no “c”) in the post game he was saying he assumed he was out in space until he got crunched. That’s not the pass to make in that position at the stage in the game unless he’s wide open.

Yeah I really felt for him, but that felt like the moment we lost (if we lost!). We were up enough that all we needed was effort and composure - and that was a very poor decision in the circumstances. But I'm not going to put too much weight on a single decision.

I am a fan of Croft but wondering if Lewis gets another gig. We were badly beaten for physicality in the forward line by the Crows. I wouldn't mind Lewis coming in to set blocks and create space, and hopefully snag a goal or two.
