This seems a strange choice. Then JVB would have to travel then as Anthony is clearly unlikely to. I know modern footy is different, but if I didn't make the 1s I would want to be playing 2s so I could prove my worth, rather than travel with the team.

Out of interest do we always have at least one emergency travel? Or do we sometimes travel without one?

23 have travelled to Adelaide apparently. Pav flew over earlier and 22 flew over together.

With Chrichton released to the wafl it must be JVB which is an average choice as emergency IMO. Surely he is either a player you pick to do a specific job or not at all.

If it actually is Anthony you'd have to say he's going to play as a late change.

Everyone seems obsessed with late changes... There won't be any. They are an emergency for that reason.

Disappointing that a few passengers remain, but not all that unexpected.

Would have liked them to go one step further and bring in Pitt+Crichton for JVB+Crowley.

I am pretty disappointed MJ is still playing and really suprised that JA isnt getting a game. Harves knows best im sure, but we really need a good leading forward who can kick straight, JA is that forward.

glad to see Pitty getting another go, reckon he is a player.

I think you're all very hard. Geelong and Freo are still easily the two next best sides to Collingwood, and going down so narrowly after atrocious accuracy is disappointing, but no disgrace. You'll belt Adelaide.

Both MJ and Cris Mayne received a spray lasy night on SEN saying they needed to be producing the goods and be outcome focussed at this stage of their careers.

Bit unfair to cast Mayne in the same light as MJ. He's never had a full season due to injury and he's a few years less in the system. Complete heart and soul player Mayne and never gives less than his all. I'm still a Johnson fan (believe it or not) but there is no way MJ leaves it all on the park and commits his body the same way Mayne does.

Any time Mayne plays, Freo are a much better team. He doesn't need a lot of the ball, his pressure is outstanding and is a crucial part of the team.
