So. Much. This.

At least when Bradesmaen does it it's usually so ridiculous it's kinda funny.

How is David Warner going these days anyway?
Pretty shit on non-roads.

Anyhow, Tabs was better in a game 2 years ago in Brisbane than he is now.

Tabs is definitely not as pea heart as Clarke.

Like a lot on here, Tabs use to turn me into a couch punching psycho. Brain fades and marshmallow moments broke me on a weekly basis. His lack of ability and awareness showed he was little more than a stopgap in desperate times. But the last three weeks have changed my mind. He now believes and so im getting on the T train. Confidence in professional sport is 99% of what it takes to be the 1% that makes it. Ride that confidence Matt because if you can, you will become a critical part of linking our team together. To the Tabs haters out there, open up your eyes. Dont be too proud to admit, maybe you got it wrong. This guy is the feelgood story of our year and a major bonus going forward.
Good luck with that! ;)

I also tend to think Tabs is pretty tuber-like and will actually never be a truly useful KPF at AFL level.

But to say he hasn't developed is seriously weird. He's gone from genuine potato who was so timid he couldn't find a touch and would get bodied out by someone 15kg lighter and 10cm shorter, to someone who actually can take the body and grab a contested mark. He needs to get a lot better, sure, but the progress is there at least.

Yep, I think we all saw Hale putting a lot of work into Tabs on body position and being harder to move in a marking contest. Tabs has definitely benefited from all the one on one training preseason.

I think most might remember my defending Tabs in one of our boards more heated off-season discussions.

He has always known where to go to get the ball. It was all the other stuff that was letting him down. But he has improved ever year so far. Hopefully he continues to improve.

Just remember, he's going to have many crap games to come. Let's not crucify him each one. Even Buddy and Kennedy have stinkers. KPFs have the hardest job on the day.

Will be very happy if he gets another 2 goals today and has some impact around the ground.

Agree love your conservative view
With the current modern game going a drop of few percent will be the different between BoG or spud .

Ballard selected also , in fact he is the best for peel.i think you mistaken blakely with langdon. Below the link for 2015 sandover and peel best and fairest. To avoid further disagreement I will gladly admit my mistake if you can provide a link to your claim. But if you can't provide it is ok, as I know you will never admit you make a false claim.

Langdon was selected on a wing for the 015 WAFL Best side as was Ballard . Blakley wasn't selected. Haven't noticed you admitting to any mistakes.

Sorry Salim. Previous page I posted the WAFL team of the year, that the WAFL website released based on their team of the week posts. No Langdon or Ballard or Blakely. What was the Team of the Year you are talking about?

I think it was the West Aussie newspaper sports writers WAFL team of 2015.

Not having a go at you, give me something to Google, at my age I myself might see the wrong thing, I don't know whether you are younger or older than me by saying that.

I'll spell it out for you.

Taberner = is shit. People are starting to realise. He's played 30 games and was struggling even last year when the side was winning. He's frigid, and timid, and has minimal confidence. He is flailing.

Langdon = is bland. So what if he has great 'leg speed' (why can't you call it, simply, speed? Where else is he going to use speed in Aussie Rules? In fact, tell me a sport where speed doesn't relate to your legs...)? He can still be bland. His size is average. His skills aren't solid enough and refined enough to play as a killer winger, he isn't tough enough or an accumulator to be a rover, and he looks forever doomed to sit in the Sheridan/Crozier pointlessness of the perennial half-forward flanker. I look at the guy and don't see the natural smarts of Blakely, who follows up every handball with a run or shepherd, and has great natural running instincts. I don't see the hardness of Brady Grey and the intent of him. And Weller is simply way more refined, runs his guts out, gives a shit, never gives up, but has a solid tackling game as well as his obvious offensive skills (nice kick, likes a goal).

Zero football knowledge. Well Chris Bond has no idea how to manage a list. His barometers for keeping or cutting someone is all over the place... you look at Suban, Clanger, DeBoer, and see players who are over the hill in a rebuilding team who were never even that good to begin with. You fail to acknowledge the chances of Taberner becoming a genuine, 10 year full forward as small, and then you tick the recruitment of the kind of mediocrity and stupidity we've had for six years. I'm just saying, you blindly defend Fremantle and simply don't like me because I reckon the guys you like are ******* shit. You both have the same skewed opinion on bad players, and both accepting dead-end mediocrity.

And uni is piss easy to get into these days.
Sam Mitchell is slow but has amazing hip speed and very quick hands. Just a quick example of how silly you sound.

I've always backed Tabs in. Bandwagoners :p
Agreed he always looked like he had the attitude and the basic platform to work with. Will develop to be better than an honest toiler I believe.
Also looks as though Hale's tuition is paying dividends as his physicality and the timing of the bump to gain possession is vastly improved.Have always thought the bloke would work to get every last bit out of himself.
Now if him and the big A light up domain tonight…….well then we're really talking turkey..add McCarthy and well sheeeesh:D

you like potatoes so he definitely one according to SA.
I will definitely support apeness more than Tab if that mean just 1 half of footy.

Yeah, you're right, he plays in probably the hardest position to remain constantly in the game. That and the closer to goal small fwd (like Langdon in recent times, Balla) - especially when the team isn't playing well, often those positions are just harder to get into the game and harder to get a read on.

Need to also remember that Tabs rarely got a run at it like he's getting now as well as others such as Blakely, Weller etc. He was so in and out, subbed out regularly (justifiably most of the time) etc. It's hard to get a full read on someone in that situation, at least from an armchair enthusiast POV which is most of us.
