Just on the defence, unfortunately, with Doedee being injured and by not having a suitable alternative, it means that one of Kelly and Hartigan has to play this season (Otten is a smarter footballer but is not up to it at AFL anymore). At least when Brown comes back, Kelly likely goes but, still, *sigh* if only Doedee .

Happy enough with that

Outside of Gibbs and Hugh in for Jones and either Murphy/Poholke, there are no other changes. You'd have to a fool to think that Himmelberg will replace Jenkins. Gooch won't come in because we don't do 2 unforced changes.

That would be my guess as well (with Jones out with concussion), but Jenkins could squeak through with a dropping to the bench his “nasty warning” from the coaches.

Lots of speculation on this board that Fog might come in. Would he have been better than Hartley?
Provide flexibility for a stint upmforward as well?

Line-ball I think. The only reason Murphy might be saved is because of Jones' concussion but, at this stage, the club has deemed him well enough to play meaning Murphy might make way. Still, to not bring in Stengle for him is lunacy.

Potentially, with Gallucci replacing one of them could be a thing.

I do kinda get the not bringing Stengle in on a team balance point seeing you primarily want defensive smalls in your lineup (seeing pressure has been one of the main driver for team success in the past few years, and like anything in football, it's tool based), and we're already covered offensively by Betts

You are probably right ... the email I just got had the title:

"Members Update: Gibbs and Greenwood added to squad" ... nothing about 'Berg or Gooch until you dig down.

Fingers crossed though.
