If they try and sell it to me as that, I won't be a happy camper.

On the other hand if they have decided that playing three big men - as we did for a lot of last year - is back on the agenda, then that's ok. That will also require some rejigging of the forward line too - perhaps we go smaller and use Lynch a bit more, maybe Porplyzia becomes a "tall" leading target. Over to you, Bicks.

You cannot just do a like for like replacement McKernan for Walker. That is dumb, really really dumb.
Brace yourself

Reilly was great in the first half of last year when our opposition allowed him to run around on his own like an unregistered dog. He was O.K. in the second half of the season, some good games, some not so much. This year his form hasn't been great but not our worst player.

As I said prior to round one last year, we shouldn't be building a defence around Stiffy, Bling and Dogga as the small defenders and we shouldn't be building our forward line around Nutta, One Arm and Stiffy as the small forwards. I like the progress of Luke Brown this year and Rory 2 has made a good start. Throw in the Adelaide Hills wine when they're both fit and firing and Radar will be under pressure. Sam Shaw can play a similar role to Radar once (if) he gains full fitness.

On the other hand, I stick to my pre-season view that Jaensch is Not a Backman's A..... and the DMac experiment seems to have been put on the backburner. At this stage I believe that Reilly is safe but that could change quickly.

Get Kerridge out of there you blind bat- offers nothing but a follower. We need taggers that can get at least some offensive ball. Wright or VB and thats it. We have too many restrictive mids that why we are getting slaughtered in middle.
Kerridge did get plenty of the ball the previous week. You need to patient with younger players, rather than dropping them after every poor performance, otherwise they won't get any continuity.

We are getting slaughtered in the middle because:
1. Sauce is not giving us 1st use most of the time.
2. Wright, Vince & Mackay down on form.
3. VB injured

These are much bigger factors than Kerridge having a poor game & I have 2 fully functioning eyes!

Out: Walker (Knee), MacKay
In: Johnston, Lyons

Edit: I'd also like to see one of Porps or Stiffy come in but not sure who to drop for them.

Watch them pick Smack over Johnston despite him having only played one decent game all year...

Also, people talking about throwing in the towel already after round 5 and at 2-3 need to look at reality and see that we have very little to gain from bottoming out and playing all kids this year. If the players want it enough, it is possible for the side to recover. At this stage we should still be aiming for the 8, losing 1 player shouldn't mean our season is over.

Did you know his first 3 kicks in AFL football were goals?
That's 2nd to "kicked 6 goals in a final once" as the most quoted Crows fact.

Johncock once won the Crows leading goalkicker is 3rd.

I absolutely won't tip us, but I'm not writing in a loss just yet. Walker is a huge out but he's still only one bloke. This team has a tonne of improvement in it at almost every single position on the ground, so now Sando has to work out how to get it happening.
I wish I could like this post, but that function seems to be disabled for me now... have I done something wrong cmndstab Vader Allefgib?

Not sure but the likes are generic now. Just says 1x Like or 2 x like not who actually like them

No doubt I watched the game through anit-Vince tinted glasses, which makes objective analysis of his match a bit tough haha. My top 5 would be Otten, Sloane, Douglas, Thommo and Dangerfield, with Talia and Lynch unlucky to miss. Hard to argue against Vince's stats though.

Watching on my mobile, often the players look like ants in the wide angle view at the bounce. Roughly how many centre bounces did Vince contest?
I'm not sure tbh, but he was definitely in there for periods in the last quarter. I thought his clearance work was quite solid. He was just very clean with ball in hand, kicked that lovely goal on his left and yeah, it was a good game. Not outstanding obviously, but it was at a standard of a best 18 player.
