Agreed. Dawson pinch hitting in the ruck is removing our key defender and sending Griff ( mighty effort last night ) back.

Smith can pinch hit in the ruck and will crash the packs and that is the way you play those dirty bastards. You hurt them.

I would also like to see de Boer get a go at some point as an inside mid or run with. He is an intelligent man who plays within his limitations, generally. Although he will probably always be marginal, I think he deserves the opportunity to make a go of it as something other than a defensive forward.

Well said , deboer for suban. Suban lack a bit of decipline . Do a few bad thing in the start . score a goal , a few good tackle then disappeared again. E- shed mention Barlow regarding playing within limitation , but suban got none after he score the goal.

Shiel got 25 but didn't really punish us, and I'd say most were in the last half, particularly last quarter when Suban was on the pine a lot as we chased the win. thought Suban was good last night.

Maybe just a quiet protest regarding imbalance draft the last 5 years by playing young and rookie player .

Look, Suban wasn't terrible and you can't just play a kid if he doesn't deserve it.
Just hope they're ready to drop him when the kids are playing well and deserve it because there is no way Suban should be playing week in, week out.
The blocking or whatever you call it to justify his selection just isn't enough, needs to have more impact especially after the amount of games he's played.
Don't even mind him as a rotation/depth player, but no chance he is and will ever be "best 22" from now on.

Probably gotta give him more than a week to see what he can offer, yeah he wasn't terrible last night but he'll need to do more to warrant his selection over a kid, or even the likes of De Boer/Pearce to justify his selection.
