Changes v Richmond

You blokes had a crack I thought, considering the players out and the dreadful umpiring (lets face it, if I was a Freo fan I'd probably have jumped the fence).

Big fan of Spurr being a former doggies player, he is ALWAYS prone to the occasional bad kick which frustrated me, yet mostly he is a good, long and mostly accurate kick. Can overkick it which results in a turnover, but despite his early bad kicks he finished up with 80%DE which is good. But his hardness and strong marking make a very solid footballer, should try him forward, he'll win a game for you one day busting his gut.

True, originally I thought his kicking was his strength but the last couple of weeks he has been a little off (understatement). I am certain he will correct this when he realises players at this level can pounce on any slight miss kick. He will be good! Forward you say, I do remember seeing him take some strong marks on a video a while back.

hmm could be a danger game if we don't show up.

In: Fyfe, McPharlin, Lower
Out: Suban, Neale, Ibbo

Can't see Ibbo being dropped but some of his efforts were pretty poor on saturday.

Out: Niel, Suban, Spurr (unlucky)
In: McPharlin, Fyfe, Lower

I would drop Ibbo instead of Spurr but I don't the coaching staff will dop Ibbotson.

This is a real danger game. Richmond are in very good form and they will be out to finish their year with a bang. I just want to hear that Fyfe is on track tomorrow, and definitely playing.

Don't hold your breath on fyfe if he went off for scans - sounds bad...

Why are people wanting Neale out? I thought he was good for the amount of time he was on. Did so much more than Suban who was running around like a headless chook for the entire game.

Most people want them both out. Nothing against Neale but Fyfe and Lower are required. Sandi could be back this week or next and Mcpharlin is straight in.

You would only want minimal changes in any of the upcoming games.

By bringing in McPharlin - you drop off one of Spurr, Suban or Ibbo ....on the balance of it you would think Suban.

I'm usually an Ibbo fan but he frustrated the hell out of me on the weekend. Those away games are the sort where our soft core have traditionally gone missing and he lived right up to type unfortunately (credit to Duffman conversely for showing a bit of steel and intent).

I'd certainly drop Ibbo ahead of Spurr if it came down to that. Spurr made a few mistakes but it was awesome watching him throwing his body around and courageously cutting off attacks in the air. Like I've always said, mistakes I can handle, lack of intent I can't.

An extended run in the WAFL has done wonders for Duff's intent, unfortunately Ibbo's token dropping for one match earlier in the year doesn't seem to have had the same effect.

Is that you Ross?

Agree that Spurr showed great effort. Ibbotson squibbed a few contests as well and looked for some cheap crumbs. Some lady in our cheersquad was calling him a softc**k by the end of the game...

Ins;
McPharlin
Fyfe
Lower
Sandilands

Outs;
Roberton
Neale
Suban
Bradley

If the "Ins" are all fit and ready you would hope they will all play but is 4 changes too much all in one go?

If Mayne doesn't come up then Bradley could get a reprieve.
If Fyfe doesn't come up then Neale could get a reprieve.
If Fyfe doesn't come up then Richmond could get an away win.

Whilst there isn't any actual information in this ARTICLE I have a bad feeling we are going to lose Fyfe for the next couple. The lack of any positive news from the club regarding his prognosis, which is admittedly unknown at this point is worrying.

Richmond are in the same kind of form they were in last time we beat them. They've beat the Lions and Bulldogs, great form guide there and two awesome defensive teams.

It's not that they beat them, it's how convincingly they beat them. They have the midfield to beat us, which is our achilles heal, particularly without Fyfe. I see it as a danger game and will be extremely relieve if we get over them. I'm happy that you have so such doubts.

Oh we can definitely lose it, but I'm pretty confident in Lyon's undefeated streak against the Tigers, he knows how to shut down their game.

Tigers play like we played under Harvey. Free running, guys running forward etc, which means you can kick a few goals in a hurry or concede a few goals.

Even on the weekend, they flogged WB yet they still managed to conceed 5 goals on the trot in the 3rd quarter.
