Hopefully Taberner can work on the things required by the club and have an 8 disposal 1 goal game to then get included. God forbid he have another high possession straight goal kicking bag and not do the things he needs to do.

Hopefully Kersten continues to grow with another solid 6 touch game and Ballantyne 'pops' with a 10 disposal 2 goal game.

Balances the 22 out a bit as well. Now playing 8 defenders instead of 9. Hopefully Deluca can replicate what he showed us in the first half against Geelong. Nyhuis to the backline is a good thing. His kicking is actually quite good and he's a good lock down defender.

I still think McCarthy should have played a few games of WAFL. His form was horrendous and he's going to come back after 2 weeks of no footy.

Obviously the rules for selection are much different for some than for others. Collins and Taberner couldn't be playing better and can't get a game even when other talls are dropped for disciplinary reasons.

If I was either of them I'd walk out at the end of the season. Ross Lyon is just taking the piss.

Stuff like this makes me want to know details. I mean did the get plastered, did they just have a couple of beers was it behind closed doors and someone said something, was it purely a dumb out in public error.

You don't drink on a six day break, that is very standard. At all, no drinking.

Thankfully it is two of our more promising players, they tend to get forgiven and show great character to earn back the respect of the side or some rubbish line trotted out for essentially "they are talented enough for us to look the other way"

The hot crazy scale works for sportsmen too.

If it were Deluca or Grey I'd be worried that it would stamp papers

It's more likely that they just plain didn't know or forgot that they couldn't drink on a 6 day break. It's the first 6 day break for either of them since they came into the side.

Sadly I think Ross Lyon is actually stupid enough to class them all as the same kind of player. We've picked McCarthy as our key forward this week. A guy who averages 0.5 contested marks per game over his career.
