Would be politically incorrect to post this?

Obvious won't be a factor this year, but I now believe VB might actually have a spot in our side.

We are crying out for a medium sized defender - I think he'd fit that role perfectly.
Been saying all year I see this as his best role when he returns.

Ins: M Crouch, Mackay, Siggins, Knight, Kerridge, Grigg...a game plan...any game plan. Maybe some run from defence, forward set ups, work around the clearances...
Outs: All the shite decision makers, hopeless foot disposalers and soft male chickens...

Would be nice to get a first gamer or two into the lineup and some of the retiring players and see if we can get up for a win. Would be special all round.

Like the idea...
Rutten stays in, Porps has already checked out evident against the Legs, Pets doesn't fit because you would have to drop Betts or Cameron and no to Reilly as we already have enough backmen turning the ball over for easy goals.

My outs would be...L Thompson, Martin, Laird, Henderson, Podsiadly and Dangerfield, possibly Douglas as well. Have the balls Sando...no more chances.

As much as I would like us to miss the finals just so hard decisions needed to be made. Our fate again is in our hands as we would have to smash the Saints by 100+ points...we've got it in us...but it would have to be better than the cluster**** we served up for the last two weeks. That won't happen without some major changes. I just don't think Sando and the selection team have the plums to make more than three changes. Dangerfield and Douglas won't get dropped, nor will Pods...

Shame none of these big calls will happen like we want and we'll be going hard at St.Kilda in the faint hope that we make the finals and instead have St.Kilda give Lenny a good send off.

Would be interesting if we did make all these big changes, belt St.Kilda and make the 8 to see a massive lot of changes again the following week.

Doesn't 200 games give life membership to the AFL? So will Reilly as a true servant of the club be so gifted?

AFL is 300 games.

2012: Reilly, B.C was awarded AFC life membership.

B: Siggins, Rutten, Brown
HB: Smith, Talia, Jaensch
C: Kerridge, S. Thompson, Sloane
HF: Grigg, Walker, Knight
F: Betts, Jenkins, Cameron
R: Jacobs, B. Crouch, M. Crouch
I/C: Lyons, Douglas, Kelly/Atkins, Martin

Dangerfield off for surgery, jSpud and Luke Thompson to the delist pile, Wright and Henderson to spend the weekend watching tapes of Hawthorn/Sydney games to learn about toughness.

johnston in for LT now. LT is useless dont care what others think about johnston he could not possibly be worse. dont play dangerfield either. if by some fluke we make finals he would have been rested for them and might actually make a difference vs port. in the more likely case we lose then its one less game where he plays on injured.

in: johnston, kerridge, mackay, knight, M. Crouch
out: LT, laird (concussed), wright, henderson, dangerfield

B: Johnston Rutten Brown
HB: Jaensch Talia Smith
C: Knight Thompson Sloane
HF: Kerridge Jenkins Douglas
FF: Podsiadly Walker Betts
R: Jacobs M. Crouch B. Crouch
I/C: Lyons Martin Cameron
Sub: Mackay

trust me when i say this; riley knight is the next rory sloane. has speed, runs all day. not as contested but can still get his own ball and a very good kick. just needs to find more of the ball and get bigger. will be a steal.

Kerridge Crouch and Johnstone IN
JPod Laird and LThompson OUT

Martin SUB

Flat out we dont win with the 3 bigs in the forward line.
Swing Hendo forward as he's struggling down back anyway in the Lynch role.

LJ plays in place of the woeful Thompson in a last chance saloon at an AFL career.
Matt Crouch Jarryd Lyons and Scott Thompson play as inside midfielders allowing Danger to get on his skates on the outside.

Martin provides run carry and foot skills of the bench as sub

It's too late to make a statement. It's to late to use this game to make calls on players for next year (seriously, if we beat Saints by 100 and LT kicks 7 then so what?)

On the flip side there's the bizarre situation where we are more than just a mathematical chance to make the finals, but so many results have to fall our way that it's hard to get even a little excited.

We're in limbo until matchday. Almost would be a blessing if the pies took out the hawks on Friday to put us out of our misery.

Probably 3, with the potential of 1 or 2 more if Richmond beat Sydney.

This is a really really weird game. St. Kilda could potentially have sewn up pick 1 of the draft, but if they win they may move down the order...... but then they have one of their all time champions retiring in Lenny.

On the other hand we have the Crows who have been Jekyll and Hyde all season and don't see that changing come finals. Like Essendon pre-bomber thompson and hird combination, we are massive downhill skiers and when there's pressure we seem to fall over. If we win we could be 8th or 9th or 10th. If we lose we could be pick 7 or 8.......

So, be prepared to watch either an absolute belting of St. Kilda or the fumbliest game of all time.

On that note, my changes below:

In: Out.
Porps (farewell) : Laird
Reilly (farewell) : Hendo
Kerridge : Pods
Knight : B. Martin
M. Crouch : Dangerfield (rest to be prime for next year or for a finals push)
Ratkins : Wright
Siggins :L. Thompson

Farewell games to Porps, Reilly, Rutten and potentially S. Thompson.

If we win, we have a good farewell to those boys whilst celebrate with 3 first gamers!

If we lose, good game to try out the youngsters and farewell the oldies.

Not a big fan of 'farewell games' just because players are finishing up. Truck is different because he's already in the team. But Reilly and Porps being included for a farewell game is insulting to those more deserving of selection.
If Sydney aren't giving ROK a farewell game with nothing on the line there is no reason we should give Reilly and Porps a game….. Would also be silly to give Reilly a 'farewell game' because there is very little evidence to suggest he's going anywhere.

More me wanting Reilly to retire/us move him on, he has not looked that good in the SANFL lately and retiring him frees up another spot for the draft etc.

Reason why I'm suggesting farewell games is to freshen up the players going out for them in case we get into the finals and seriously, this is probably the weirdest I've ever felt about a game of footy the Crows are playing in.
