So Honey gets two cracks at it and plays one well and you all want him out but others get 245 cracks and play one well and NOOOOOO we can't stop him??!!?

Honestly you people think I'm fickle

Get the spuds out and the real blokes in even if they are underdone the hit out will help them more than running around for Footscray

We need to get out beat 22 playing together ASAP our we light miss finals all together.

It is now proven we cannot beat decent teams playing these blokes that arnt up to it and Jong isn't the only one I'm talking about

I can't see how Stevens comes straight back in, he's barely played in the last two months.

I hope Boyd plays but I don't expect him to do much on Grundy, but the two tall forwards need to be given a try to see if it can work. With the lack of foot skills in the middle the current setup isn't scoring enough against the good teams.

Can't be playing Clay just yet, understand the temptation but no need to rush. From reports he was struggling with fitness in the last quarter so he still needs another week or two to build that base. I want to see him back in the AFL as much as anyone but time is not right yet.
He'll have had another two weeks by the time we play next. :p

Ok MD , just remind me again what Honey will give us ?
Don't we have enough short people in the team ?

It's still a long way to go, but the current forecast is for dry weather. We've had very little rain in Sydney other than the two east coast lows in the past month. The SCG is also larger than Etihad in terms of the playing area, albeit only marginally.

Cool. Any chance of putting a roof on it and moving it to Docklands in the next fortnight?

Thanks.

I wasn't saying Honey will give us something but he played well against Port so deserves a decent crack like other blokes get doesn't he?

No body was great Saturday night so why should a kid that's only has two games and one against the top team get dropped and other blokes continue to get chance after chance coz they are the good luck story??

I agree Honey isn't up to but either are about 5 others from sat night mate

Errrrr, I wasn't saying we need to drop campbell. I was making the point that you have to be bloody minded at selection, and if that means dropping a player that's played quite well over the course of the season (as campbell has) then so be it.

I personally don't want Boyd and redpath in the same forward line.

I've never been a big fan of Honey; he just lacks something special that a player his size should offer, perhaps two of: pace, excellent disposal or goal scoring ability.
I see him as a replacement type rather than a permanent fixture in the team. By the same token, I'm not ready to throw him out yet and at least one more opportunity this season would be fair.

Honey could perhaps become like Myles (I think that's his name!?) from ninthmond at best.

SCG is absolutely the wrong ground to play two key fwds IMO. So much as I want Boyd back it can't be next game unless we drop Red (which would be manifestly unfair after just one poor game).

Depends on injuries really. I'd like a bigger body like Stevens or Smith in but not sure they'll be ready.

So that leaves Wood in for Roberts - more for match ups than any real shocking form (I do admit that for me, any reason is a good reason to put Fletch back to his rightful position as a once in a while depth player).

A few blokes need to lift. Mitch.

Longer term I see Honey and Jong struggling to keep their spots ahead of Dahl, McLean, Stevens, Webb and Smith. Biggs may be in trouble as well if Williams keeps playing well and JJ comes back. I also suspect Rough will get dropped for Boyd at some stage.
Would have thought the smallest ground in the AFL is the best place to go with two tall forwards and Subi the worst place.

Ok , I get that . So if we assume we get a few back , the first two for me that will miss out is Dunkley and Honey in that order.
As you say he lacks that something !

You work in mysterious ways MD , your usually brutal with blokes you don't think will make it.
The only way I see him making an AFL career is if he is played as a midfielder , and it seems the coaching staff are not that keen for it at AFL level.

We have Dahl JJ Wood Stevens and Smith to come in to our finals team(if we make it)

So in order out are Honey Jong Roberts Dunkley Williams IMO

I wasn't referring to the way I think I was referring to the way the MC are going about it and a lot say here.

Jong comes in and everyone says let's give him a decent run his VFL form deserves it.

But Honey does the same thing and plays one good then one bad and he is out??

That's why I continue to be baffled with the way some think, the want to be fair but more fair to the poster boy who is flawed as the rest of them.

IMO Jong Honey Hrovat Roberts Prudden would never play seniors again and al be traded or delisted and I'd give Cordy Webb Dale and co more chances to see if they can make it.

Out:Roberts

Inn:Wood

The week later we will have JJ,Stevens,Dal all ready to play after a week in the vfl and Boyd fresh and ready to go.

Out: Roberts, Dunkley
In: Wood, Boyd

Never have all of Roughy, Red, Boyd and Campbell on the ground at the same time.

Just find it ironic you calling people fickle while in the same post saying we cant beat decent teams

Well can we?

What decent team have we beaten with the "fringe" players playing in the last 12 months?
