Bev seems keen in Minson coming in, in the coming weeks

Also noted that it's a bit of competition re Toyd vs Roughead vs Campbell

No competition between Toyd & Redpath, and happy to play both in the 1 game

If we are to be serious contenders for a flag this year, this weekends game is a must win. We need a top 4 scalp for our belief.

Sydney without Tippett is not going to contend for a flag. If the Bulldogs are contenders - and woods back - this is a must win.

The absence of Dalhaus and JJ is not a sufficient enough excuse. There will always be injuries.

I expect at least the first half to be like a final - two fresh teams with a lot to play for and a lot to prove. The loser is out of premiership contention.

If that's us, and we lose it will because our forward line continues to let us down. it's time then to rejig the forward line and plan an unlikely assault from outside the top 4

If we win - the dream is alive. The belief in the group will sky rocket. Then the advent of JJ, Dalhouse - the possibility of including Clay, Stevens Toyd and McLean puts us in the picture. SEXY footy is back and the Hawks geel gws Adelaide and north will know they will be receiving bitch slap.

Pumped for this game. Get them up Bev!

We have to be aroused, lustful, rabid dogs on heat! We need to see the swans players whining, sulking, crying to mamma. They need to know 2016 is not the year for them. It's our year so piss off!

Ewww, we're not playing three ruckmen are we? Unlike Roughy & Campbell, Minson has hands of stone and isn't a particularily mobile player around the ground.
Minson is very well suited against the Congested Sydney style. Bev might fancy Minson to bully Sinclair.
Also keeps the pressure on Campbell and rough - one would have to come out.

This is the business end of the season. We need this win. If Minson is the best horse for this course - I hope we run him.

Personally think Beveridge is very very wrong if he sees any competition between Roughead and Boyd. They are almost opposite players as one is a ruck who can play anywhere but forward and the other is a forward that can't really ruck that well. Tom Campbell is Boyd's real competition in that he's an okay ruck and an at times competent forward.

I kind of get what your saying
I also think agility is important to Bev
And On this score Campbell is last of those 3

However, Campbell is likely to be the better ruck, he is a better kick for goal then rough. The marking is neck and neck between rough and Campbell.

I reckon, bev will resist playing all 3. He will want T Boyd in asap. This leaves a tough decision rough or Campbell? Rough is more agile but he needs to improve his ruck work or he will find himself in the vfl. I find this a genuinely tough tough call but it's one that will shortly need to be made.

Then again - maybe - for this season, Minson is still ahead of them both. They've had their chances. They've been solid but it's now the business end of the season. The Minson has a much bigger tank - which helps T Boyd and the rotations.

Seems like Toyd won't be in for a few weeks. They are being very careful with his shoulder

Spot on after the loss to the cats this a must win game if we hope to make top 4. I reckon the cats was the only game we did give 100% effort even allowing for bad kicking 5 goals for a whole game is poor.

I am expecting fire and brimstone this week we just need to find a way to win.

We are gong to phase 6-7 players back in to the line-up in the next few weeks. That's 1/3rd of a team which is exciting but also could take some adjustment. I kinda think we just need to rip the bandaid off and throw them back in asap, starting with JJ and Wood this weekend. Judging by Bev's presser, the club reckon the Rough / Campbell duo is a bit stale. Strange to break it up after the bye though. Anyway I reckon

in: wood jj minson
out: williams, dunkley, campbell

Landsberger is shit?
Landsberger is a Dogs fan in the media with a direct line into the club.
In this pissant industry, he's worth his weight in gold to us.
Agree.
Sam is Jake Landsberger's son. Jake has been the Bulldog's club doctor for about 25 years.
Both are lifelong Bulldogs supporters.

Interesting our backline is constantly talked about as being weak yet we have conceded the least amount of points in the comp.....

He said it's a weakness that it's not overly tall, not the defence is weak.

Minson won't come in. I suspect it's a Bevo tactic to keep him hungry and make him feel like he's close to playing to keep the pressure on Roughy and Campbell.

Not sure if Minson will come in or not this week, but I think that there needs to be pressure on the incumbent Rucks to do more than they have been. We were really hurt by the Geelong rucks last match.

Personally I would very much like to see how a Minson and Roughy combination would work, and this week may be as good as any.

Campbell has been going OK, and has potential to even better, but I think he could benefit from a clear signal that 'going OK' doesn't secure your spot in the side.

I think a few people seem to have forgotten how influential Wil can be around the contest, and may also be confusing Campbell's potential as a forward with actual performance.

Boyd rucks well and will get better. Not sure about the tank to see out a game.

It's about balance so the type of player is irrelevant. We can play Boyd and red together and we can play one of Boyd and red with Campbell and roughead. Bev is pretty much saying he's not willing to let go of Red from the team so his competition for a spot comes from the two ruckman.

I've mentioned this before (and was disagreed with) his shoulder isn't keeping him out of the side. It's the line the club will use to deflect talk of him not playing and the size of his contract.

When he's ready to play senior football he will.

Sam is Jake Landsberger's son. Jake is the 'Groucho Marx' lookalike that has been the Bulldog's club doctor for about 25 years.

I'm pretty sure the moustache guy is Gary Zimmerman - he treated my wife. I'm not sure who Jake Landsberger is, but a google image search shows someone nothing like Groucho Marx.

Bevo plays games with the media.

Do not think he will consider paying both Wood and JJ. Wood will play and JJ will need at least one game in the twos.

Always talks positively about players Minno will not play just putting Campbell on notice in a positive way.

If we ever try out Boyd and Red in the one team it will be against a bottom team.

I think I can read him Bevo on this game but he has surprised us before.

The problem with Rougie is his work as a forward. He has been great at the centre bounce ruck contest, yet doesn't do a lot up forward and when he does he usually misses the shot at goal. Campbell is much more of a threat up forward and so is Boyd.

Bevo wants our rucks to be ruck/forwards and its thats the case Campbell and Boyd are in front in my eyes.
