Regarding the fuss about home games - and I think someone earlier in the thread may have alluded to this but I’m not sure - does anyone else not think that this is the sort of ‘us vs them’ thing that can actually galvanise the team? I mean looking at our finals performances, attitude hasn’t exactly been a major positive for us. For decades the Queensland origin side - even during their 8 consecutive wins - would find a way to ‘manufacture’ a storyline in which they were somehow the hated underdogs with the world against them and routinely it saw them win. They did the same thing when they had bog ordinary sides and were still able to conjure wins.
I don’t really see how this could be a negative for the playing group. All they will see is an opportunity to ‘stick it up em’ as EJ would say
No totally agree on siege mentality. Everyone is against us. The reality is they are though. The AFL would prefer to see us lose Friday to go along with the three interstate finals. Perfect.
