It is interesting.

Mofra, can you see what happens when a couple of journalists get their hands on scientific data?

Bullshit arises.
'All factors' includes the natural and man made causes.

Separating the graphs shows the impact each individual factor has so is useful to compare just how much influence each factor has on the combined average.

Come back to me when you know the difference between 'to' and 'too'.
As in, lil Chester needs someone TO follow around so as not embarrass himself TOO much.

What a shame, you were all up and about there for a second...

Alarmists please read.

"Climate change is an issue I care passionately about and have dedicated a significant portion of my life to addressing. I have been politically active on the issue for over 20 years and have researched and written about it for 17 years."

Both extremes of the issue need to STFU. It seems social media & a lot of general media get off on extremism of many issues. Scaring people with apocalyptic predictions ( like our religious conservative RWNJ types have been doing for centuries) is not helpful. Certainly the denialists are causing more damage to the need for less carbon pollution in the world.

In saying that, we at least need Government to promote a less destructive lifestyle which is so centred on consumption. More is not better. Greed is not good. Quality of life, not focus on standard of living. Less of the mantra of the individual & more of the benefits to society. People can't take & have 'everything' anymore. That much is clear.

That last one is a particularly strange perspective. Doubt most people would be aware of their cholesterol levels if their doctor hadn’t informed them. Don’t bother with those blood tests, folks.
Why would you need to know about cholesterol test? Maybe because more people who suffer a cardiac event have low cholesterol than high?

They would generally only go to the doctor, if there was a problem.
'Or if just a annual check up, testing powered by Fossil fuel electricity, and definitely unless advanced age, a result of a bad diet orlack of exercise , otherwise an non universal uncommon disease problem.
Stick to your lettuce carrots and tofu and you'll be alright (surely endorsed by Greta the Great One)

If it was less than 6% variance from normal, Dr would not comment other than to advise a trend, without undue panic and suggest more green leafy greens . (In your case LESS GREEN! - & probably after your panic , a lobotomy!)

Lol. Once you’ve finished with NASA, the CSIRO, the IPCC etc you can get fix the health care system. Regular check ups, subsidised screenings...another racket!!!

Volvo joining the the VW group, Mercedes and BMW in moving to a EV / hybrid mix.

You can't stop progress.

Progress , OR rampant blatant Capitalistic opportunism? Promoted by propaganda and BS!

Will you be buying one Mof or have you already been suckered into it?
Prolly not, cause there isn't any recharging stations (barely) in Australia.

So when nutters buy them, from foriegn countries, they will have to buy the re-charge stations made in CHINA!
You know the worlds BIGGEST Co2 emitters who replicate in increase, the total Australia's coal powered electricity Co2 emissions, every 90 days! ( very conservative)

Great idea. Drive it to the airport (powered by what?) . Jump on a jet, and THEN feel good about saving the planet and being a selfish hypocritical DUMB sheep consumer!.. who is doing their bit to save the planet?????

The deniers will come join the rest of the world, just not by choice.
EVs have a lot of promise. Their torque curve is exceptional, less moving parts = less maintenance, and technology is moving so quickly we're likely to see annual improvements to battery technology, and they're quieter so residents near major thoroughfares will likely enjoy less traffic noise in time as well.

We already have quite a number of public charging stations too (Chargepoint are growing, as well as a few demonstrator stations installed by RACV/NRMA/RACQ etc).

Tell us about this "rest of the world" ?
China, India, Republic of Congo, Saudi Arabia , PNG, Ecuador , Venezuela, Brazil , Russia etc????, have you got an atlas or just a smartphone powered by dirty electricity?

Who, the countries who have the investment dollars to fool you!

IF USA does not have a long term bipartisan definite policy it is ridiculous for you to even dream about dragging Australians who have rejected (via voting majority) the notion over the last decade.

Thank god some/most Aussies still have a BS detector!

(good windup! - s**t desperate comment)

Ten minutes later Prof David Packham and Roger Underwood were on discussing forest management.
They're two of the best in this debate as they're land management/mitigation experts, NOT fire cheifs or their deputies who are "suppression" experts, and they're certainly not classroom academics who's only practical experience with fire is putting out a barbie with a garden hose and cleaning out the gutters of twigs and leaves.
