This feels like close to the worst time to hit a form slump too. There are sides that did recover despite hitting the skids late but it definitely feels like the exception historically rather than the norm.

Teams need a lot of luck for a threepeat, and we have a number of very strong teams emerging/maintaining (unlike the 2016 to 20 era) - Port Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide.
