We are now sitting in 4th position remembering that it will be a final 8 this year and this is our run home.

20 points (five wins, one loss), 153.0 per cent

Collingwood has played just two top eight sides over the opening six rounds - Geelong and Adelaide - for one win and one loss and are yet to leave Victoria. In their final month, however, they will travel to both Western Australia and Queensland and face fellow finals contenders North Melbourne and Brisbane in what is a crucial final fortnight.

R7: Greater Western Sydney at Victoria Park (13th)
R8: Fremantle at Fremantle Oval (17th)
R9: North Melbourne at Victoria Park (5th)
R10: Brisbane at Metricon Stadium (1st)

Injury Report

Aishling Sheridan will be tested to determine her availability for this week’s match against Greater Western Sydney.

The 26-year-old sustained a lateral collateral ligament sprain in her left knee during the Pies’ round four match.
She has progressed well with conditioning in the gym.

Co-captain Steph Chiocci was diagnosed with delayed onset concussion after a knock in round five and has now completed the 12-day concussion protocols.

She will be assessed this week to determine her availability for Sunday’s match.

Lets hope we can beat them this time. I think we have struggled v them in recent years.
Kinda haven't played each other in recent years. Last time the two teams met was in Collingwood's wooden spoon season of 2019 (13-point loss in Morwell).

Overall GWS have a 2-1 record, with the Pies' only win coming in 2017, led by Mo Hope's 2 goals and 9 score involvements. She would kick another 2 in R3 of 2018 for the following encounter, including this bit of magic:

In its seventh season and the standard is poor. I know the talent has been thinned out with the 4 new teams, but it's a hard watch. Ball up after ball up.
The standards not poor they're playing like rubbish today. Overusing the ball and wasting it going forward.

How many mistakes can one make in commentary… wrong scores, wrong margin, wrong players… poor Jordy Allen was being called Membrey all of the first quarter!

I feel like a lot of the criticism in the past has been surface level misogyny without a basis but from a commentator’s POV today it was just hard to listen to because you knew a mistake was coming every minute or so.

Our inability to convert is frustating. The score should have been so nuch higher than it is.

Its only the 3rd quarter where they seemed to get some movement going, but its never for long enough. Still struggling for form wven when we are winning.

Put our two GUN mids (Davey and Bonnici) into the midfield and we'd be smashing the ball forward. We haven't had our starting midfield for almost 2 seasons now.

Yeah absolutely.
Next season is the focus. At the moment, we can only make do with what we have. Doing pretty well considering
