Hard to find a more consistant, reliable and durable A grade half back flanker then Corey Enright. He is your modern day half back. He can lock down his opponent and still gather plenty of the ball, while having a massive influence on the match. When he retires, Geelong will certainly feel just how important he was to there structure when he is no longer there. Probably the best half back flanker of the last 10 years. One of my favourite current players in the AFL.

Try watching football rather than counting awards. I said Enright, but White gets criminally under rated.

Premierships are meaningless when judging a player. Those other two measures aren't. Mugs don't win dual b&f's in a premiership year. White was an above average player. Enright was an elite defender. From 07 on, Enright has been Geelong's second best player behind Ablett. Scarlett has him over his career, but not that period. It would be like comparing a good player (Riccardi) to an elite player (Akermanis). No contest.

Enright has consistently been one of Geelong's best 6 players for the past 10 years, he has gone under the radar, but in a team that has been so good for so long, a lot longer than the Brisbane reign then Enright is the man.

Don't worry, it took us a long time to appreciate exactly how good he was (and continues to be) as well. Yet more evidence that players take time. There wasn't a breakout year, it was just gradual improvement every season until we realised he was an absolute gun.

You've nailed it perfectly, we're going to find out precisely how good he has been for us when he's no longer there.
