Without YEARS of testing and research the rona vaccines are indeed an experimental treatment. Nobody can say with 100% certainty that there will be no long term side effects, because they simply don't know.

It must feel great that there will never be total adoption because of both hesitation and those outright against taking the experimental vaccine.

There is a high degree of certainty that the mRNA vaccines are safe. In addition, there are COVID vaccines that don't use mRNA technology - and instead use a traditional vaccine approach - which also has a high degree of long-term safety.

There is no 100% risk free option. We don't know, with 100% certainty, the long term risks of COVID infections either (either as someone who is vaxxed or unvaxxed). However, we do know the short term effects of the vaccines vs the short term effects of unvaccinated COVID infection - and the statistics speak for themselves.

It must feel great that there will never be total adoption because of both hesitation and those outright against taking the experimental vaccine.

History will show that it was not the state premiers who were the biggest pant-shitters during the COVID pandemic - but the anti-vaxxers.

You’ve come into the middle of a conversation and completely missed the point. My comment was in response to those claiming the COVID vax is wild and experimental because it’s been tweaked when that’s quite a common thing.

As to the rest, it’s almost as if COVID is it’s own unique event and not comparable to the flu. Though if you want an example of a flu that sparked lockdowns and restrictions, there was a quite famous one about 100 years ago.
