Jeez that's actually an excellent question.

I suppose if I could take a 17 year old version of either, assuming there would be no off field problems with either, i'd probably take Aker, but not by much at all.

That's a really tough one. I gave it to Cousins probably because i like him more but at Aker at his best was an unbelievable player and one of the most skilled i have ever seen. Really tough one.

Even if both won the Brownlow medal, the award doesn't have much credibility in my eyes.

No one would complain if Ablett won the brownlow twice, back to back in 07 and 08, but he doesn't have one. No one would complain if Franklin had won it in 08.

I choose Akermanis, slightly ahead of Cousins, because he has more of a game-breaking ability. I know Cousins has it too, but I've seen more 'wtf how is that possible' goals come from Aker.

At their best Akermanis was better. Consistently Cousins has been better. I would put Cousins just ahead because he has been more consistent than Akermanis has been really good IMO.

They both got their problems, Ben cant keep his nose clean and Aker cant keep his mouth shut and needs more sun.

In their peaks I would say Cousins slightly just because he brings the whole team into the game instead of shining on his own or pulling off a miracle goal ( which is all good and well.... for the highlight reel )

Two different players in my opinion.
At his best would have had Aker in my team before cousins.
He was just a freak.

i gave it to aker because he won 3 grandfinals and i think he is a game winner type of player. i think he 1 won of the grandfinals with the goal he kicked, it put collingwood away.

but its very close, both have brownlows cousins has 1 premiership and aker has 3. aker has been AA 4 times to cousins 6. so i think by there achievments its very close

Can't stand either of them but chose Cousins because i have never seen him shirk or pick and choose at the contest like Aker. has at times.

Cousins for me....Aker has moments of magical skill but overall Cousins shits on him as a 100% Team footballer ...........
