Just a random thought that popped into my head: what has happened to GROTTO ? He seems to have posted most recently in May. I miss his fun facts.
Yeah, I'm very concerned as no response to PM's.

Can someone explain the finals ticketing for weeks 1-3?

Is it like gather round, where your member number unlocks access to ticketmaster and then your barcodes are used for the number of tickets, and you essentially have a window of time (6 measly minutes) and can select available seats and pay the relevant cost based on the seat category?

Or like the ashes, where you pick a section and ticketmaster gives you the 'best available'?

Or you just register within the priority window and then you get told where your seats are? Also, is this final method the GF ticket allocation method?

For the first 3 weeks of the finals, Members essentially have access to a pre-sale where they can buy tickets. You'll get to pick what category of ticket you want and then Ticketek will then pick the best available seat in that category for you.

You won't be able to pick/choose specific seats to sit in, like you would if you were purchasing a daily ticket for a minor round game.

The GF is a ballot system, so the system picks your category of seat, and your actual seat (or standing room) for you.

Legendary, thanks for that!

Just flicking through radio whilst driving. Apparently triple M are going to broadcast the 1997 grand final at 2pm today, with Darren Jarman, Mark Ricciuto and Tyson Edwards commentating as though live. If anyone's interested.

How much of a deadshit do you have to be to comment something like this? Bloke is a Port supporter so has no dog in the fight today but still felt like he needed to put this out into the world.
And Seed was spot on with his tweet too

A random question that I was thinking about at the SANFL Finals yesterday. At Adelaide Oval there are the three big football rooms in the Southern stand.

Then four under the Western stand? A big and very small room either side? Can they all be used independently on each other as in have their own facilities?

For AFL games do the umpires use one of the bigger cricket rooms esspeciallynwith male/female umpires? Yesterday they had the umpires and two opposing SANFL teams using them so I presume they all have there warm up areas ect?

From memory the rooms under the western stand are set up more for cricket and don’t have the big warm up rooms like the ones in the riverbank stand but I could be wrong.
