Riverbank stand top deck - GA is usually towards the top end - gives a good viewSorry, wasn't sure where to post this.
Hi, I have some friends coming out from the UK for the cricket.
As it's a day game this year, they would prefer not to sit in the sun. Are you able to help me with where would be a good place to sit.
I understand that the Western Stand gets the most shade, but I believe that stand is only for members.
Thanks

A cost blow out of that magnitude is never good for a pollie, but I cant see the project falling over.Tassie Devils under threat after the effin politicians get all political!!
Will be an interesting fall out from the no confidence motion … if we are forced into another election, I reckon the delays could possibly kill the whole thing.
Labor are Pro-Stadium so unless there is mass panic it should still be ok - but you never know.
Stupidly, Trigg believed he had scuppered the "deal" John Reid had put in place with Tippett while he was overseas. He did not get it in writing (they often did the old "gentleman's hand shake" back then, but Tippett's prick manager was having none of that) but as far as he (Trigg) was concerned it was a non entity. When asked about "the deal" by the board, of course Trigg denied it, believing he'd put a stop to it. When he was ultimately found out to be mistaken (after Blucher pointed this out to Trigg), he came clean to the board, who came clean to the AFL.Here's another 1 from The Age, specific to the "fiasco"
First sentence
"Adelaide are refusing to say why they effectively dobbed themselves in to the AFL for a secret deal which could kill Kurt Tippett's bid to join Sydney."

Why is an enclosed stadium with a roof so important?Tassie Devils under threat after the effin politicians get all political!!

You been to Tassie in winter? Why is an enclosed stadium with a roof so important?
I just had a look at Hobart's forecast and that looks like heaven to me.You been to Tassie in winter?
It's not like it stops them playing football now & not really too different to Melbourne. You been to Tassie in winter?
Winter has just started, think of GOT, Winter is ComingI just had a look at Hobart's forecast and that looks like heaven to me.
I just thought of season 8 and now I'm traumatised.Winter has just started, think of GOT, Winter is Coming
We are talking about playing every second week and pulling decent crowds and I’d say a lot more night games. It's not like it stops them playing football now & not really too different to Melbourne.
The stadium should not stop Tassie from coming into the AFL... & they should have come in years ago.
Do you think that Tasmania shouldn't be able to have a side without a new stadium? We are talking about playing every second week and pulling decent crowds and I’d say a lot more night games.
Opposition supporters are more likely to make a trip to a covered stadium than one without it, which will be a boost for tourism
The team will require a massive government subsidy. Without the covered oval the subsidy will have to be even bigger. It's not like it stops them playing football now & not really too different to Melbourne.

Still won't leak as much as Gold Coast, GWS & some lower Melbourne clubs...The team will require a massive government subsidy. Without the covered oval the subsidy will have to be even bigger.
The devils will make the pear look like a profitable organisation
A new stadium is going to increase the odds of the whole thing being a success. So without it I don’t believe it’s worth the investmentDo you think that Tasmania shouldn't be able to have a side without a new stadium?
They used to get plenty of games when Roos & Hawks both played games & got ok crowds.
The real issue here is if Tassie doesn't happen, Port's rebuild won't be stifled.
He's gone full Trigg. This is all bluster though. You don't choose to rebuild, the rebuild chooses you. I think even Port will realise the time for bandaid solutions is over.AFL clubs rebuilding is “an excuse for failure”, says Port's David Koch
